Will it work the same with a car with the stock airbox????
Thanks again Anime!!!

Rol it was run with a CAI on the car....I think I read that someone with a TL and a stock air box had to make a slight adjustment...might want to read through the last few pages of this. Do you have a stock airbox stilll why so??

If I had my way I would make the following change.
12.) Remove the 10 mm bolt that holds down an orange connector on the driver side fender well.
13.) Using this bolt, place it through one end of the #4 wire and re-secure. Finger tight the bolt to allow for positioning of wires.
15.) Remove the nut holding the negative (-) battery terminal using the 10mm wrench. There is no need to remove the battery terminal.
16.) Attach one end of the #2 wire to the battery terminal and replace the nut.
17.) Remove the front bolt on top of the throttle body that holds the same metal tube bracket in step10.
18.) Using this bolt, place through the free end of the #2 wire and one end of the #6 wire and re-secure leave loose to allow for positioning of the wires.
I think this set up would be a better system AND it should take care of the stock air box.
Please let me know if the wire length is correct for this configuration, if anybody tries it.

Whats up Insaneamine,
I was wondering what is the size of the gold plated ring terminals, 5/16 or 1/4, or what? And would it be possible to use these these instead of the ones that are being used now. Would those make for a better connection? Anyhow, I hope to hear from you soon. I am going to get the kit from you, but in a few weeks when i get the extra cash. So let me know about those wire terminals, i would like mine to be different from everyone elses.

My cousin just bought a ’00 V6 Accord Coupe EX. The engine set up is nearly identical to the CL!
I am going to test fit the kit on his EX, make any adjustments, and let you know how things go.
I use 5/16th terminals. Those AudioPipe terminals look nice but they are way too bulky to be practical, especially when you have to put one on top the other. Not to mention they are a few dollars each! They also don’t offer any better connection to the wire over what I am using now.
Damn dude, 0 gauge wire is as thick as King Chile!!! What do you want that for??? Dumb question, I know. It might be fun to try, might get a little expensive though.

I got the kit. Installation took ~25 min. Quick and simple. Looks great. (sorry no digi cam). No change in power, but improved stereo sound as less engine whine.
Amine- you posted about making some changes to the kit which involed a connection at the battery. What was this in referrence to? Should I make changes?
Thanks,
David-

Alternate config.
I only made the adjustment to accommodate CLs with the stock air box. However, it should work either way.
It is all the same really.
Instead of this:
I suggested this:
My only concern would be that the wire would need to be shortened an inch or so.
If you try it, let me know.

I just was curious if there was any benefit to grounding to the battery???
See my sig for stereo info. The sound is 100% better than the bose set up. I really did not want to get into ripping out the stock headunit and I like the "stealth" look in that no one wants to steal it - at least until they hear it. I have to admit that I had some concern about engine noise and the local shop admitted it would be a problem at very low volume (the car sounded supercharged), but that is totally gone!!!!

well worth it!!!! I am fine with the stock headunit since I am not into the whole DVD thing for the car, but I really like clean sound and now I have it!!!! Anyone with a system should spend the few bucks and buy this kit! Plus it looks cool.

Please could you refresh us on the colors ( link) (I like red to match Injen Vacum tubes) and actul price with shipping.
Also, in the above pics the Ground kit is not connected to the negative of the battery. Is this the correct installation?

Here are a few pics, and install tips.
If you have a C/T ice box, and your bellows are rubbing against this orange plug, you can just bend the bracket up out of the way like this,
Also, the last step of the instructions tells you to bolt the last 2 wires here on the alternator, but the wires are so fat, that the plastic spark plug cover dosen't sit right with the wires under there.
So, I put InsaneAmine's instuctions to good use by using them to protect my alternator from metal shavings and drilled my own hole in the same bracket. there is plenty of room.
Voila!!!
more pics of my car, here!
Thanks!

My 5 wire Z kits go for $75 (10.3 ft.)
The 6 wire Z sets go for $85 (12.8 ft)
The Acura kit took a total of 11.5 feet.
In keeping consistent and fair with my clients across the board, the Acura kit should go for $80!
On the Z side, this is a proven mod. The benefits can be noticed. Also, my craftsmanship is without question top notch. I see to that. The big question IS whether or not these grounding wires improve the performance of the Acura enough to command that price. For the Z it does. I can’t speak for the Acura.
I have sent out a handful of these kits already. Let’s get some feedback. Sound off people.

I just ordered my set. Should get them on tuesday. I hvae a rought idle and I read that for some their idle got smoother so I'm giving this mod a shot. I'll post a review once I have them installed.
