Grill Question(material)?

I know where to get the instruction on how to do it, but what kind of material should I use. I like Amir's grill.

Do you guys think it would look better painted? I can't tell if you guys painted yours or not, but I think it would look cleaner spray-painted black or silver, good work on those grills though. Have you guys seen the Bomex mesh grill material? That shit looks good but it is quite expensive.

Peace
