Greetings All,

Hello, it is my pleasure to be apart of your well developed community.

I just finished 9 years of study, and I felt that it was time to treat myself to an automobile.

I have placed my order for the new 2003 in Manual Transmission.

The dealership also gave me this website, they told me its the most informative community with regards to the CL Type S. They also mentioned that you all have the latest info on the 6-speed, in many scenarios prior to some dealerships.

I will try my best to take part in this community as much as possible.

I originally had over 20 questions, about the CL. Although the search feature on this board gave me a bit more than I asked for. An excellent tool.

Bravo!

I had been lurking for a while, and I am amazed to see how frequently everyone posts.

A few questions though that I still have:

This "RES" thing I read about with your search, does anybody know if it will increase any sound to the car?

also

How many members does this board have?

Thanks
Best Intentions,
Dave

Dear Dave,

If you feel the need to cut your springs, install hydraulics, or gut the orange reflectors out of your headlights, let me know. I'd be happy to assist.

RES will almost certainly not effect the sound at all...if any alittle deeper sound...i hope to be one of the first to verify this for you...welcome

Welcome Aboard and congradulations on your purchase. I am indeed envious of the gear ratios that will be at your disposal. Lurking and searching is what I like best, there has been so much discussed here concerning the car that we all own. It is amazing. Glad to welcome another member!

Hold up, does that mean we're a 'selling tool'? Doesn't that mean we should get some 'goodies'

I am scheduled for operating tomorrow. That 1 operation is picking up the Tab for the CL.

I actually own several cars, although, this CL is going to be for my brother in laws wedding gift in about a year, after I get tired of it. I am looking to spend about 25k into modifications.

Anybody have any suggestions how to spend that money on my CL?

Also, when is there the next huge meet? I would love to join.

On a final note, on this forum, do we have any pro stereo install guys? I would like to spend around 10-15k on a system, though I'd like it intsalled by a pro. I would be more than happy to fly any pro's to my city, i'l pay for air, premium hotel, and some spending money, not including install, and a little tip for the troubles.

For most stereo needs the guy to turn to is StreetEffectz www.streeteffectz.com . He's not a full time professional (yet I guess) but most people have had a good experience for him. If you're willing to spend 25k in mods then get the following (or just talk to Astroboy cause he has most of these toys)

Zeal B6 Coilovers
Brembo 13 inch Big Brake Kit (requires new rims though)
Comptech SS Brake Lines
ACP cross drilled rotors for the rear
AEM or Injen CAI
Comptech Supercharger (if it ever comes out)
Comptech Headers
Exhaust (Comptech, HKS etc)
Bigger Rims and performence Tires
RES (yet another, if it ever comes out)

Edit: Oh yeah, congrats on the purchase and welcome to the Forums
EditII: Forgot Comptech Sway Bars and their are nitrous oxide kits available.

Welcome Doc, as soon as you're done operating, get the headers ! For surgically precise handling, upgrade the sways, struts, springs and tires.
