Bigger tips, round muffler, more aggressive tone, almost no droning at highway speeds, cat-back, lower price, Greddy 3 year warranty.

i just watched the vid, i used to have a greddy evo catback on my 97 GSR, and i loved it. Pretty good high end on it. From what I can tell on the vid, it sounds pretty mild inside the cabin with the doors closed. However, actually being in it, and hearing a vid of being in it are two different things.

So is it really as quiet in the car as it sounds in the vid? Any droning at cruising speeds (2K-2.5K rpm)?

It really is...look at the vid again & watch the rpms at 60mph, then listen. At cruising speeds (2K-2.5K rpm), it sounds almost stock.

if you have the time to take another vid, i would be interested in seeing a vid clip of the speedo while you spray.

you know, i just dont understand why no one can manufacture an exhaust for an import that doesnt sound like a fart can.

granted, this exhaust sounds much more respectable than a fart cannon on a civic or integra, but it STILL has those rice qualities. there is just something very strange about exhausts for imports because these cars idle so quiet and so smooth and then you rev the motor or step on the gas and you get this "BRRRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOM" fart can sound.

ive never heard comptech exhaust for a CL-S in person and i cant COMPLETELY call this Greddy Evo clip ricer because its not THAT bad, but i dunno. there is just something that will NEVER be duplicated about a GOOD SOUNDING EXHAUST like that of a REAL sports car or muscle car, etc. the deep throaty idle, the roar of the take-off. the intimidating revving. you just get NONE of that with an import aftermarket exhaust. period.

for the record, i am not hating on this guy or anyone else who has this exhaust or any others, like i said, any exhaust on a CL-S is at least better sounding than a fart can on a 4 banger in your every-day run of the mill rice boy scene. if this tickles your pickle, then thats cool.

when i had my CL-S i was never once interested in an aftermarket exhaust, i was just too afraid of my car sounding like a rice rocket and this clip, at least to me, proves that even on a CL-S...the sound of an aftermarket exhaust walks a fine line of coming a bit too close to sounding ricey for my tastes.

seriously, no offense, but anyone that can use adjectives like "throaty", "deep", "low" or "rumbling" in a description of this exhaust system needs to get a reality check and go listen to the sound of an old big V8 muscle car or even a modern muscle machine like a viper, cobra, etc. hell, even my truck with its 5.9 liter motor and flowmaster muffler has a surprisingly rich and deep sound. bottom line, there is just no comparison

you ever think that a V-8 sounds throatier...cause it has 2 more cylinders/more displacement? ...

Bingo........

The "sports cars" and "muscle cars" Jim is referring to do not have 4 or 6 cylinders which is why they sound deeper. I have heard the same exact "import" muffer mounted on an integra and a mustang and guess what it sounded completly diffrent on the mustang.

i think my old GTS 4cyl celica sounded better than that..though on the video it sounds buzzy it really wasn't, i always had people asking me how did i get it to sound so deep for a 4cyl.

go to the last race vs. the mustang

Nice. It's really more quite then the Comptechs? I would like that part, but I don't like the look of them. I think they are a bit big for the rear of the CL. But that's just MO.

You can compare sounds to the Comptech exhaust while reving at idle here:

I paid special attention to that in the vid, I was just making sure.

I want get rid of the stock exhaust on my 3.0, I was thinking of either this or the SP2. I really would like it to make a some noise if I get on it, but I can't stand that droning....

Ehhhh, sorry but I'm not feeling the sound. It looks nice, but thats just too damn raspy for my tastes. It's hard to make a OHC V6 sound good, imo. Stock is deeper sounding, I guarantee you that.

If ya dig it though, congrats cuz thats all that matters.

Will this exhaust fit a Tl-s? Would I have to modify it at all?
