Greater than 3.5 liters possible?

What would be the maximum, safe displacement on a J32 engine block? I know about the 3.5 liter upgrade. But is anything higher possible on the same block?

find some custom pistons and rods, bore out the cylinders and get them sleeved and that would lower the compression ratio (i think) and up the number of liters by a lil bit and then you could boost to a higher p.s.i. since you've lowered the compression ratio.

almost anything is possible with $$$$$$$$

sorry thought, i dont' know what the max would be.

yeah I read, some previous threads, I think you, Slyraskal, started one. Maybe someone like allmotor or scalbert can chime in on what they think the largest, safest displacement would be.

With the 3.5L crank/rods/pistons and over-boring the cylinders would probably yield 3.65L.

If you re-sleeve and really bore the block, probably 3.75L.

If you weld a 1" plate on the block, re-sleeve, custom crank, rods and pistons... probably 4.3L

There are F23A's at 3000cc on custom race applications. Stock displacement is 2.3L. The F32A2 has more potential.

There is really no poing in spending that much for power - the 4000cc+ block will cost you nearly $10K.... unless you are building a class-specific race-car (NA, etc.)

Just put a turbo-kit on... 500-600 at the crank
