Make sure that you get examined first and have x-rays taken. It is not good advice to get adjusted the same day of the accident or even two days after. If you go to a well trained Chiro he most likely will not adjust your neck until about three to four days out from the day of the accident due to the acute inflammatory process your body is going through at the present time. It is essential that therapy such as cold pack, ultrasound, other therapy modalities and antiinflammatories be used to control the symptoms. Regarding insurance do not accept no lump sum payment, it sound good initially but then you are screwed at the end if anything was underestimated.

Sorry to hear that. Good luck with the whiplash and getting your car fixed. It sucks but could have always been worse.

Wow, I am terribly sorry about this.

I haven't had a chance to visit the board much lately and never expected to see this. Please keep us informed of the situation and you have our best wishes in a speedy recovery for you and your car.

For sure get yourself thoroughly checked out. I had a neck injury when I was young and now it's causing me all sort of problems. Arthritis, degeneration and compression, etc.

And glad to hear your well for the most part . . . hope the damage isn't too bad as well.

I've had an accident myself couple years ago and I think I got around $10,000 after 1 1/2 years of fighting. (Although I should have gotten much more, I got raped by my Insurance - monopoly in BC - and held 25% liability after doing nothing wrong) After almost 3 years, my neck still makes cracking noise every morning and I'd get headaches from it every once in a while. Do what you have to do and you should never feel sorry for the other party at all because it's just so true that he/she should have to pay for the mistake. It's your body so whatever you think your body is worth, you should get compensated for it.

Hey allmotor, sorry to hear about your health problems induced by an idiot. You are able under most no fault policies, to have chiro treatment and massage therapy. I recommend both. You would put the claim into your company which you should have established by now. There's property damage and personal injury protection, not sure what CA's limits are, but NY is minimum of 50K in usable coverage provided thru your own carrier. I can help you thru the maze if you want to PM me I'd be happy to help. Good luck!

LOL. Nothing like a visit at Dr. Bob's.

What pathology exactly is a Chiropractic practitioner treating that isnt treated by a muscle relaxant, or NSAID's? Those meds, and things like warm water bottles, etc will help those muscle aches & spasms better than any spine manipulation.

Signed Your local friendly Orthopaedic PA.

Good to hear you are feeling better Allmotor.
