Is the grass greener? (in a loaner)

I dropped off my CL today at the dealer for sways and H/I and got a TSX loaner to driver home. My CL has about 4700 miles on it... and this TSX has just over 3k. I've been very paranoid about the quality of my CL lately with all the rattles and noise, but I just feel this TSX is put together much better... much less road noise... no rattles... everything is "tight" (door, leather, steering wheel). Dash and console seemed to have more thought and "newness", especially with lighting at night. The suspension felt 10x better than my CL even before the springs... I know they're probably tuned completely differently for sport vs sedan... but still. Plus control of 1st in SS pisses me off :P Granted, the thing has like zero pull compared to the CL... but I felt it's more "luxury" sedan than the CL is "luxury" coupe. Maybe it's just that the '03 CL still has an '01 design/qualities/parts... while the TSX is a brand new product of recent trends/development.

Perhaps I just need to drive my car again and crank through 2nd and 3rd a few times to feel better... sigh.

Same thing happens to me. Even if I get a freakin Oldsmobuick rental it always feels better (tighter and quieter) than my 01-S. I attribute it to my old tires. (57k and counting).

wait till this TSX gets to 30K miles.. it will rattle more. When my car was brand new it also was quiet... then it gets loose and loose...

my car is practically brand new (4700 miles), and it rattles like a 50k mile car. I'm sure some of it has to do with the utterly horrible road conditions here in Baltimore, and lowering it a bit... but goddam the tight and quiet feel of a new car sure degradaded quickly

i sit here and laugh to my self sometimes on how pampered we really are!!

could you imagine if we were to take delivery of a taurus or monte carlo.
the sounds we hear are ten times less than most cars but i am thankful that is usually all.
i would kill myself or walk myself into traffic if i had to drive some american coupe excluding cadillac and have to make the payments.
this is the one car that i have owned that i am happy sending in a check to honda to get me one month closer to owning.

i am rambling and just got done cleaning the bathroom with some good chemicals so...

Off Topic...

What dealership did you go to that gave you a TSX loaner? I always get stuck with an RSX.

Tischer in Laurel.

Plus they give discounted rates on labor for installation of aftermarket/performance parts. Haven't seen Ben Shaeffer's rates, but it's hard to beat a dealer loaner while you have the work done.
