I got rock chip down to the primer in the front quarter panel. not too big... but surely enough I would have to run to the dealer for a touch up paint.... fooking trucks....!

 

Maybe Cheap Paint!

 

It is cheap paint. Listen to what happened to me. I had some sort of sap on my car. I removed the sap by using quick detailer, and bug and tar remover. After I removed the sap, I looked at the pain, and what do I see..the paint bubbled exactly where the sap was!!! What the hell is this crap!!!

It is poorly manufactured paint.

From what I've heard, our paint and clear coat is made by PPG outside Toronto. My brother visited the plant. He said it was god-awful. A union runs the place, quality control sucks, products are mishandled.

I have too many chips after 11k miles. The worse one (so far) is where the hood meets the headlight. 1/4 inch chip. Thinking about a clear bra.

 

I used Zaino this weekend and noticed a ton of chips!!... some have a 'pinpoint' spot of rust forming! (btw what do i do with that?!)

Also.. i knew it wasn't the best thing to do.. but i had a spot o'bird shat.. and didn't remove it immediately.. well now at that spot the paint looks like many tiny fragmented pieces (kinda crackled?) ..
sooo annoying.. i wanna get my whole hood painted!
