Got Rice?
Got Rice?
Just from the previous thread, i kinda notice when someone don't like something about a cars look... they call it rice.... just want to know what is the true meaning of rice?
rice is tacky way of souping up import cars
like when your exhast sounds like a weed eater
or you put like Type R stickers all over your car
or the steel shopping car spoilers.
and my personal favorite a little button you can hit when you slow down to make a sound of a blow off valve

Alot of people misuse the term...but typically it is supposed to describe a car that has modifications on it that does not match the make of the car.
I guess in short...trying to be something your not.

or....
rice = things added to the car, usually for show, such as stickers and wings and whatnot... only for visual effect yet having hardly any REAL performance or any other kind of gain

NO NO NO ....Rice refers to an economical way of improving your car's horsepower through the strategic use of and adept placement of stickers, spoilers, extravagant body kits, and oversized exhausts. If these items are applied correctly, using the ancient Chinese art of Feng Shui, they will increase the driver's 'CHI' (pronounced 'chee'), thereby allowing the driver to channel this energy through his/her foot, through the gas pedal, directly into the engine, effectively increasing both horsepower and torque by 50%+. This number will vary of course depending on the total amount of 'CHI' a driver possesses (which as I mentioned earlier is directly influenced by the adept placement of sticker, spoiler, bodykit, and oversized muffler).

Aluminum shoppin car spoilers that dont match with the car. Except: supra skyline and etc....
Fake blow off valves r just lame rice

I have friends who mod cars and they all have your basic N1 exhaust... so does that mean they are ricers? they are all those with comptechs and draggers ricers as well? all my friend do catback piping some even took out the cats and doing that for performance... whereas the CLs only do axleback which adds a big whopping 1-3 HP....you said ricer means ppl tend to put stuff on to make your car look fast... is the axle back suppose to make your car super fast? second of all.. the CL is a luxury sport car... it has no potential for modding... so would modding the CL be considered rice, when you trying to make it faster?

I think the most problem people have of distinguishing if something is rice or not is what we each see as a "clean" car.
There's a general consensus of excessive rice, but there are cars near the borderline and thats where people differ in their views.
Of course then there are a few dumbasses that use rice to describe anything import or moded.
