This is what happened to my TL when being rear-ended about bout 35-40mph...

Granted, I was sandwiched between two cars, but still! You done well!

Besides, it was the only color they had on the lot except for Firepepper Pink when I picked it up.

My deepest sympathies. The same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago with my 3.5 month old CL. I too was stopped and the Altima behind me kept going right into my rear. Fortunately there wasn't any structural damage. I needed a new bumper, two new tail pipes, swaybar clip and the trunk floor adjusted.

I went to pick up the car yesterday but there were a couple of details I was unhappy with so I should get it back Monday or Tuesday.

Seeing pics like that makes me think twice about booting around on the street/highways. Luckily, you guys are alright.

 

I feel everyone's pain too. I was rear ended by a 92 Mercedes C Class junker while sitting at a red light, only 1.5 months after purchasing my baby. The sad part is - that the reason I was out on the road at that moment was only to help a friend and take a 15 minute break from work to drop my friend/coworker to pick up his truck from the shop. Otherwise I would have been at my desk, programming.

It turns out that I had all kinds of problems after that. Even though the lady hit me at only 15 mph, and left no external physical markings on the rear of my CL-S, there was minor frame damage, and both my rear 3/4 panels were bent. There was 17mm damage on the left rear frame and 8mm damage on the right rear frame, not to mention both rear 3/4 panels and a new bumper cover. I was heart broken!!! I wanted to cry and strangle the lady who had no excuse for hitting me other than not paying attention where the full stop had to be made. I think she was searching for a lighter for her cigarette.

My baby looks alright now - but it's just not the same.

 

Dude that sucks. Glad you're okay. I got broadsided years ago in HS in my little Nissan Sentra by a 79 Continental...can we say ouch....

Unfortunately the I had no love/luck with my new baby. Not even 24 hrs after picking it up I was blindsided by a kid on a dirt bike who ran a red light. Luckily I wasn't going too fast and he only ended up with some scraps and bruises, but damn my car didn't....a kid on a bike did over $1500 worth of damage to my passenger side.... Fawking Amazing...

Damn that sucks. Are u okay? Your accident sounds eerily reminiscent of what happened to me except I only had mine for 2 months!!!!! Argh!!! It doesn't look as bad as mine (cause the friggin bumper is hiding everything like mine did) but I hope ur trunk pan isn't bent. Does ur trunk at least close? Gonna make it this weekend?

 

I got rear-ended less than 2 months after getting my car. Once again, because someone wasn't paying attention.

 

What gets me is that our brake lights are freakin pretty bright and big compared to most cars out there.. how can you not pay attention to them?

Hope you get her back on Friday. Looks like you may only need a new bumber.. when I got mines replaced after getting rear-ended, it cost about $890 after all was done..

 

That sucks!!! Damn it Roly!! The number of CLs out of commission is now 3....I think there might be more TLs this time!!
