Got a question with redlineing the car

I was getting off of an exit ramp last nite and i was in sportshift and i was watching the cars getting off the ramp and i kinda hit it and trying to avoid hitting the other cars i accidently didnt upshift and I hit the rev limiter at about 7500 rpm and it made a noise 3 times and i let off of the gas and upshifted . I was just wondering did this hurt my car at all and I also noticed that my car has a ticking kinda noise when its in park not really loud or anything but it didnt make it when i got it brand new ,and i'm wondering if any of you guys have that same noise ? Thanks

Hey im not offended...im jewish..anyway to answer your ?. I have that quiet ticking noise on my car too. Of course i have 133,000 mi. on it but still...I belive what you are hearing is valve ticking. This is caused by the valves hitting the cylinder walls. I think you could bring it to the dealership and have them adjust it for you though. Hope this helps GOD.

It should be fine and ticking seems to be a honda/acura thing. My car does it and alot of my friend h/a do it too but just when the engine is cold

Heh, that might have been the fuel cutting off. If u put the car in park, floor the damn thing, it'll cutoff the fuel right after vtec kicks in and u'll see the car jolt.

No harm to the engine. It will bounce off the rev limiter and the car will buck until you shift, but no harm. I've done it a few times from 2nd to 3rd. As far as the ticking goes, maybe the valves clearances need to be adjusted slightly. At the first oil change, it's one of the things the dealer supposed to check.

BTW, I'm not offended.

I for one thing your screen name is offensive as well.

And if your "GOD" what would it matter that you redlined: you own the Cattle on a 1000 hills RIGHT !

As for your question:
1. You should already know the answer: your God--Remember
2. If you don't, your NOT really God

Then who are you ????? LOL

But, if you are GOD, and you did do damage, which it sound like you might have done:

Go bye yourself another !
