Well, I guess my '03 didn't end up making the cut. I got the notification in the mail today that the warranty on my transmission has been extended now for 7-year/100,000.

There's also a reimbursement request form inside for those people that had their transmissions replaced and paid out-of-pocket for the repair.

I'm assuming many of you will be getting this also. Sorry about the scanner quality:

I can't quite make the address out. Did that come from the dealer you bougt your car from, or ACURA/HONDA itself?

It came from the Acura Automobile Division in Torrance, CA.

Are all of the tranmission warranties for CL's being extended??? Sorry if this question has been answered already but I've been at the corvette forums as my new 2003 Spiral Gray vette should be here in less than 2 weeks!!! yippiee But I am keeping my CL!

All 2000-2002 TL's, all 2001-2002 CL's, and some 2003 TL's and CL's. This includes the Type-S models.

So your 2002 CL-S is covered under this extended warranty.

what '03s are they covering? all automatics, i'm sure...

A lot of '03s, I got my car last month new and it was made in 5/02. I'm in the warrenty extension.

There are some '03s and I believe that they are just after your date.

If you haven't gotten a letter yet, and need to know, you can go to the www.acura.com web site and check the owner's link (this presumes that your have input your info [VIN, etc])...

A call to Acura Care "should" also provide an answer for '03 auto tranny owners...

I bought my TL-P in July '02. I hope my car's got the so-called 'new tranny'.
I guess I'll call Acura & find out.
