Got My Splash Guards Painted
They should be ready tomorrow. I had the body shop paint them Taffeta White, same color as the car. Not only do I think it will improve the look, but functionally it will keep the tires from getting sand and shit on the body.

So out of curiousity, are people putting splash guards on their car to..
1)stop the water and sand from blasting the car (duh!)
2)because the car will look better
3)because we can...gimme everything for my car!
I mean...how effective are they really? Our wheels aren't so huge that they are splashing cr@p everywhere that I have noticed. I guess I am just wondering how many people do it for the look. I am planning to put them on my car because of all of the above reasons but mostly because on a black car I think they look sharp. Painting them to match the glossy paint would look nice though and painting them to match any other color would be a great look too.

When you got 18's or 19's on your feets, your gonna throw everything on the side of the ride... I seen a CL without them and you should see all the stone chips on the rocker panels and rear bumper cover behind the rear wheels... (he is stock too-- doesn't even have upgraded meats)...

I have splash guards on my car and I'm running OEM treads. The front splash guards are effective, but the rears don't do shit. The past couple of days the trees around here have been shedding leafs all over the ground. The side of my rear bumper is covered in dirt/mud/leafs
I don't have splash guards yet but they are on my short list.
I don't know if its just in So Cal, but I get tons of road tar kicked up and it is just horrible looking and even more horrible to remove.
Splash guards would be functional IMHO

Yup. The paint peeled on mine after a year. The place that painted mine told me up front they'd use flexible additive to the paint. However, the splash guards were too soft so they couldn't provide any warranty. Now, almost 2 yrs, even with the peeled paint (bottom), they still look a lot nicer than the stock. No one will notice the peeling unless he/she is under the car.
Mine are just about 1 year old. Painted silver, & I have no peeling. No chips. They look freshly painted when they are clean. I did it for looks. Weather they are functional, I really haven't noticed.
Like hell they aren't

In So Cal, the road tar gets all over in the front if you dont have them. They are on my "need" list. BTW, anybody got any they wanna part with???PM me if so.
