Got it! my CL-S on Friday !!

Sold the '98 3.0 CL and got my '01 CL-S on Friday! Black/Black/Navi!

Told the dealer NOT to detail it AT ALL (thanks all) and to remove the front license plate frame. Came out after paperwork was signed to find the frame still attached. Upon removal I said "WTF! THAT WON'T WORK!" The ONLY car on the lot (I checked) with the frame drilled through the bumper! What the hell?! After my refusing to take the car because of this, they agreed to replace the whole front bumper due to those two little holes. Bitch enough and you'll get what you want.

So now for the mods - nothing drastic, probably bulbs and navi...

Break in period? How long? What can and can't I do???

Congrats!!!!! Enjoy the ride.....Take it easy for the first 1000 miles and you'll be grateful later. If you wait, then the car will accelerate easier down the line. I notice the difference. The engine doesn't seem to strain as much now as it did when I first bought the car. The manual says, 650 miles or something but give it a little more. Don't baby the car but i wouldn't take the tach over 4. I punched it a few times just to clear anything in the engine but after that i took it easy.

Congratulations, I think the opinion on break-in varies here. I would try some searches to see what's recommended, I honestly don't remember. I raced a 328 five minutes after having my car. I did not beat on it but I sure as hell did not go easy. 16K miles later I have no probs

No pics yet - after bumper and 6-8 hours of waxing (ugh.. Zaino better work- it's cuz all of you Zaino users that I got the black one- was thinking of silver) I'll take some.

After researching for like a month on what to offer (with holdback and such) the Internet Manager from the Acura dealer emailed me with a price that was $250 lower than my figure! 30500. Good? I don't know. Came with mudguards and mats, and that included destination.

How much did you get for the 3.0 CL 98?? Did you trade it in or sell it on the side to someone else??

The '98 3.0 CL had nearly 70K miles and needed tires. Owed about 15K still, dealer was going to give me 10,200. Sold it from ad on craigslist.com for payoff amount. Didn't make money, but didn't lose money.

Wow...so how much do you think I can get? I have a 98 CL 3.0 with 42k with decent tread life left? Did you have anything on your car? I think I need to make my car stock again before selling/trading?

For your car, with 42k miles- selling it would probably get about 17k, if it's in perfect condition, and trade-in about 15K...

From what i've noticed, Kelly Blue Book values, at least in the market today, are REALLY REALLY high! I saw so many 3.0 CLs on the lot- your milage is fairly low so they might give you more, but I'd try to sell it first.

I thought you're not suppose to wax a new car with fresh paint til a couple of months. I heard that the paint is still soft and haven't harden yet or something like that.

Ok do I Zaino it now, or wait? If I wait, do I wash it with Dawn, or what?

Doh, what color are you getting? My salesman
guy at Smithtown Acura said there are only 2 more unsold Blue-Nav S's being made this month. And one of them better have MY name on it!!!

My salesman is being such a punk, though, he keeps claiming he'll call me tomorrow and never does. Hope he has his act in gear enough to reserve one of those cars!
