ruvz, sorry to hear this, really sux. For now, you can sign his email up to all sorts of porno lists and get his service denied by his provider. He is using RoadRunner DSL. You might also be able to get RoadRunner to stop his service immediately by contacting them and informing them of his scam.

i have called his house and call numerous times...He actually picked up the cell last night, but when I spoke, he hung up quickly. When I called the second time, the voicemail came on right away (meaning he pushed END when it was ringing)..Everytime his parents pick up, they say he is not home (although takes them a few seconds to think about it)...I've left a message more than 5 times!
He's a coward and he should have reason to be afraid and very afraid!!!
He might have had successful scams in the past, but I personally will not give up on this...

Either he ends up in Jail, or with a couple broken legs...I don't care... I will take this all the way and appreciate any help from you guys...

Even if it means taking a nice drive or flight to Charlotte and a knock on his door....

Sorry to hear about ur problem Ruvz. I live in NY and wish i could pound the shit out of this guy. It really make my blood boil when i hear about something like this. Your just a normal guy trying to make a living and this scum bag take advantage of you. I hope this guy come to NY and gets his ass beat buy a bunch of bums with bricks. Unfortunatly, there are a couple of bad apples in the bunch and we have to weed them out. The only thing i can say is good luck getting ur money back and hope the police or FBI pound his ass. This whole thread is really disappointing. It's (obviously) a pretty big problem to defraud someone on this board. I cannot imagine why one would want to cause so many problems for themselves.

Public Service Announcement - I would be really careful about making violent threats in this public forum. If something bad should happen to someone that you threaten, you can be tracked down.

I don't threaten violence...In fact, as you can see, I am taking legal measures against this guy and hopefully it gets resolved fairly and quickly. The purpose of me creating this thread is not that you feel sorry for me, it is to inform and protect other board members from such individuals and make everyone weary that such a sad and disgusting situation can happen among our tight community.. It also served as caution to everyone selling or buying via the black market section..

I don't wanna rough the guy up, I want my money back and I'll ship him back the rims...he can sell them to someone else...I don't care... if it were a smaller amount, say under $100, I wouldn't even bother posting this here, but since we're talking a substantial chunk of cash here, I am concerned and would obviously like to recover my $$$$ which I worked hard for..

Though many of us don't know eachother personally, I am sure many of you bought things from people on this board (I also did, a while back from Langjea) and to me, personally, this place is a tight community of members who care and feel for each other....This is something I would expect from eBay, not ACL.... but shit happens...

The best way to get this resolved is to hire a lawyer, and have him/her write a letter to this jackass informing him that legal action will be taken IF your money is not refunded. Also, have the lawyer insert a clause about the jackass seller paying for the return shipping charges. Just document EVERYTHING... The post that had the rims for sale, all emails, etc...

Unfortunately, a lawyer will cost you money. Any close family members in the legal profession???

1. The law (FBI, & cops) is very unlikely to get involved in such a small matter.

2. The guy probably won't show his face on the forum after reading how many member want to kick his ass, so I don't think U'll get your money back either.

3. U'll probably take legal actions & sue, but don't know if that's worth your time.

So, if U post his numbers, may be CL members will call the shit out of his parent's house, but they may try to sue U later for posting his numbers & causing undue stress...

well....he doesnt have to POST the guys numbers...they are freely available on the internet via www.whitepages.com so therefore he could not be held liable for releasing and phone numbers that we could just get on our own...look, this guy is obviously an ass and he deserves to get some payback of some sort...dude, dont lose faith, youll get something back...if not your money, some sort of satisfaction is definately in order here!!

Ruvz, sorry to hear about your unfortunate incident. Hope everything works out for you. It sounds like you are taking the proper steps except for going to Charolotte. You don't want to do that, you know that's not the right thing to do, flying to Charolotte. Unless you're going there to visit the local police or courthouse. What are you really going to do if you meet Byron? Rob him? Beat him up?

And for those of you who are taking sides, it sounds good but why haven't others had any complaints (or have they?) if he is selling bad stuff? Have you heard both sides of this story (to be fair)? Not saying ruvz is wrong but we don't know what or how that transaction took place under what circumstances. I'm more inclined to believe ruvz but if I were Byron, I wouldn't try to work it out online, it's too late. He should at least answer the phone, though.

In the end, I hope you get some satisfaction. As for the other members here, I've said it time and time again, there are some real criminals on this board, you need to beware. Secure your funds, know your seller, ask for references.

i bought an injen intake from him...he did send me the intake, however it was missing alot of parts that i had to go and get knock off parts from home depot just to mount it correctly (or semi-correctly) in my car...he kept saying how everything was included and i trusted him...its clear this guy is just a total ass...my transaction wasnt the greatest but not as bad as this latest incident.

I can't say this guy just stole my money, he did send me rims and did pay for their shipping. Unfortunatly, those are not the rims he advertised and agreed to sell me (in terms of condition, tires and the brand). If you advertise you have a set of Racing Harts with tires, and even post a link to racinghart.com for the pic (especially after confirming the condition and terms many times - and I have all emails for proof) that is just wrong. I ended up with a useless set of rims that belong in the trash (I trust you've seen the pics).

I am not flying to Charlotte - that was maybe an idea out of anger and frustration, but I will take it through law enforcment and the courts even if it costs a pretty penny. If he would simply contact me to resolve the matter, I am willing to let it go, just send me my money back and I will ship the rims on the first shipment in the morning. If that is done, no harm, no foul.

I just want to get this streight and not send guys after him or cause him any harm or property damage. If it takes the courts and the cops, then it will get done that way.

I think most members who have been around here for a while, remember the Xephyr and Rock Dog situation and once the situation got resolved, Chris is still a respected member of this board. If it wasn't for Rock Dog doing something about it (on his own behalf and the other victims, it would have gone unnoticed and nobody would care)
