Got code :(

CEL came on after header install. Took it to Advance Auto and it came out with P0141, 'Heater sensor malfunction." I did a search and the second 02 sensor was mentioned, are they related?

The service manual says...
"secondary heated oxygen sensor heater circuit malfunction"
You sure the o2 plug is in? The sensor is screwed in all the way?

Hmm, I rechecked the first sensor this morning and it was in all the way. The secondary sensor was never removed...it is dark outside, but I am going to try and see if it came lose somehow.

the secondary o2 sensor is in the middle of the cat. shouldnt have been touched from a header install, but they may have knocked the wiring. worst case scenario is replacing the o2 sensor which is about $80-100 and 5 minutes of your time.

lol it's all good. Thanks guys, the secondary o2 sensor wasn't removed, but it was a little loose. I went under and noticed there was some play in the wire, I reached up and pushed the clip in all the way. I reconnected the fuse and the battery and the CEL went off.
I am going to redo the install using lock washers to make sure everything is tight.

Sorry to raise the dead post here, but I've had the CEL on since I had my XS Headers put on in FEB '07. I know, I know... I'm terrible but I had my reasons.

This weekend I finally put on a new O2 sensor but lo and behold I still had my CEL on. I borrowed my buddy's OBDII scanner and pulled the famous P0141 even with the new sensor.

Can you guys give me a basic rundown of connections and things to check? I am not super mechanically inclined, so use layman's terms here please. Also I never touched the second O2 sensor, should I still check connections?

Thanks in advance!

Im new to CLs (but Ive played around with my fair share of Hondas/Acuras), and whenever I got a CEL and fixed the problem, I've always reset the ECU.
