Got A Cl

I finally got my 2001 CL-S from atlanta a few hours i ago, i just drove her home, im instantly in love with it... and im going to post up pics in a few hours when i wake up... black on black, its got the 2003 rims, and the spoiler... hmm i cant help but say im really happy with my decision. thanks to all of you for your input, and how you all helped to persuade me to wait for the right CL-S to come around instead of settling for a CLP...

Congratulations on the car dude. Good choice. Where in Georgia did you purchase it? I reside in Atlanta, actually.

if i wanted to mod a car for performance, it definitely would not be a FWD honda.

And it definitely wouldn't be a 3500lbs fwd honda. (A 2000lbs civic I can understand, however)

But like I said before, who cares that a CLP is a poor platform for modding. Auto CLSs are not much better. 6spds are decent, but still fall into the "slow as dogshit" category at the track.
If you bought a type-s and bolted on a few thousand dollars worth of mods just go to low 14s high 13s, it does not make you a wise investor, as there are a bunch of cars out there that will go much faster for the fraction of a cost. And don't even bother with telling me that a CLS is a combination of luxury and speed. Its either one or the other in this price range, and if you bought a CL, you obviously opted for the luxury.

And to the folks who bash the premiums, unfortunately, the type-s badge does not add inches to your dick, but if an ego boost is all you need, go right ahead and spout all kinds of garbage.

I agree with that.....However remember that was 2001-2003 & it's now 2007 into 2008 model year.

ALL cars from econ boxes to high end have gotten far more better in 5-7 years time.

OR you could just tint your tails (looks GREAT on black cars) and get the 03 headlights so you'll be all black.

Congratulations & great pick up! It's also nice to see that you've gotten it using your own $$$ instead of having the "parents" get one for ya...
Welcome to the site & have fun!!!
