I've had my black 6sp since Apr 02. It's been stored for the winter but I'm picking up the new plates Fri. Unfortunately, we're supposed to get more sleet/snow/ice crap tonight and tomorrow here in MA so they will probably sand and salt the hell out of the roads again.

Technically, yes. But you don't get credit for the 2700 club. While on the subject, any idea how many ARE in your club???

These are the only production numbers for the 6-speed Legend that I've been able to find:

1994 - 1024
1995 - 1128

Rare air indeed.

One more - Anthracite CL-S 6-speed leased in December. Just under 3,000 miles. Needs a bath.

I'm kind of surprised at how many brand-new ones have been listed in this thread!

Well I, like other new CLers, knew the end was near, so bought a 6 speed now. It's sad it's gone, I blame Acura for bad planning, they have always supported manual shifts, but the 260 hp CLS they introduce as a shushbox!... killed a lot of potential sales, right off.

I got my San Marino Red CLS 6 Speed at the end of January. I now have 2200 miles on it and love it. Just installed comptech headers a week ago and the Icebox is on the way.

Just got my CL-S Type-S 6spd a week ago in Anthracite. Less than 100 miles so far. Paid 28.6k (protection package and spoiler here in Sacramento). :-)

please tell me how your CL6 compares to your G2 Legend. I always wanted a 6 speed Legend but could never find one with low miles, or at all! I finally got a 95 auto Coupe that I traded in for the CLS. I never drove a 6 speed Legend, how do they compare. I had 5 speed manual G1 Legend coupe that I loved also, better even than the G2 auto.

123456SPEED-
Let me first explain my point of reference for comparing the cars - I am in my forties, I am not a particularly skilled driver, and don't like to go all that fast. Given all this I still love a car that pulls and handles well. Also, both cars are completely stock.

I just got the Legend two months ago with 83K on it after an almost two year search. It was very well cared for - one owner in his fifties who paid cash for it in '95! It was still on the lot because the dealer advertised it as an auto by mistake.

The CLS is tighter since it's new, has a lot more pull of course, and has a much nicer tranny - the short throw makes a real difference. The steering/handling is much more precise in the CLS as well but the ride is not a smooth. Basically the CLS excels at getting up to speed – the torque and the tranny are far superior. The shifts are much quicker and more precise than in the Legend. It’s more sport than luxury.

On the other hand the Legend is a much finer car. It has a fit, finish, and build quality that blows away the CLS. Once up to speed it is more refined in both it’s handling and ride. It just feels more substantial – partly because of the extra weight but also because it is just built better. It’s more luxury than sport.

What it boils down to is I like going from zero to speed in the CLS but I like cruising in the Legend. I sort of wish that the Legend was an auto so I would not be comparing it so closely to the CLS. Even so, I still love driving and shifting the Legend. It’s a very refined car and drive train – even after 8 years and 80k+ miles.

I think if you had a manual Legend you would still have been truly impressed with the CLS, but it just would not have been as religious of an experience to drive it that first time! BTW – I am looking to get my hands on a G1 5spd coupe - they are awesome cars as well. I didn’t plan this, but it looks like I am starting a collection.

Nice - that makes two DE six-spds, and I am one of them! I grew up in Newark and live in Trolley Square/Wilmington now. I'll keep an eye out for you!

I've got one. I traded in my '01 CLS. Test drove over 20 cars and still made the decision for the CLS6. Best decision I've made. I love my car. I ordered an Icebox yesterday.
