Got 6spd?
Picked up my Silver 6 speed from Smithtown Acura on 2/11/03. I now have about 1300 miles, and I have enjoyed every one of them. It did take me a week or so to get used to the clutch, cold weather probably didn't help. I know that some people have had the same experience, but now that I have learned this clutch I love it. Glad to be a part of the 2700 club!
My 6-speed was initially bought and driven in Toronto (Canada) last October ...
but has since moved down with me to Connecticut since I'm working here for at least a year.
lol ... still trying to get use to the USA system of measurement ( mph, gallons ) since I'm so used to the metric system.

My Six speed was bought on 11/30/2002. Satin Silver, no navi, no spoiler. And it will be completely paid for, four thursdays from now! I love everything about the car.
I got my oil changed today (7,502 miles) at the dealer and my salesman confirms there will be no 2004 CL of any kind.
I am also the guy who made the post "Remarkable new technology regarding chrome plating", but I have an issue with Acura about one wheel that I think came damaged from the factory. The zone guy will decide about what to do a week from tomorrow, but the dealer rep said Acura will most likely repair and repaint the wheel, locking the car up for several more days.
After that, the CLS6 goes up on jack stands and the tires will come off. The wheels will go to www.goodrichtechnology.com
and I will get the finish that is on the bottom of the pictures here applied (black pearl). So, I gotta ship them there and back (chicago, california, chicago) on my dime. This ain't gonna be cheap! But, because I gave this guy a good write up on this site, he is lowering his price from $600 to $400 for a set of four wheels.
So, I am gonna be the guinea pig, but I am not worried. This coating is a powder coating, and my job is research and development in powder coatings. The finishes, from top to bottom are champaign (a satiny sort of low gloss clear over bright chrome) classic high gloss clear over chrome, and black pearl.
I think black pearl will look outstanding on a silver CLS. What do you think?

Aegean Blue Pearl 6 Spd here.. Im loving every bit of it too..till i can save for an M3. Its a good car to save with. Especially from someone coming from a Modded to the gills S2000.
Just got mine last week and I love it. Its what Acura should have come out with in the first place.
I'm in the process of selling my 2001 CLS Auto. I never really warmed up to the automatic tranny. I have always been a manual shifting kind a guy.
Anyone interested in a 2001 CLS, White/Parchment with 44K miles can email me. Its in excellent shape, garaged since new. I live in the Washington DC area.

Blue 6-Speed. Picked it up in November '02. Been a long snowy winter...haven't had a chance to really have fun with it yet. Bought it with snows on and just took them off last week. Of course it just snowed again this week!

The VIN from the 2003 model year has both auto and manual trannys mixed together. You cannot tell what number of the 2700 you are from the VIN.
Unless you are privy to the actual logs from the factory, there is no way to know which one of the 2700 you have.

OK…. Since my April 1st charade is over I can finally reply to this thread.

For those that don’t remember, I was the first one HERE (and maybe the country) to pre-order the 6-Speed.
I placed the order in early December 2001. This was weeks before the car was officially shown to the public at the LA car show in January 2002.
There was one guy here who got his first because he took one from stock.
I picked mine up on 03/15/02 and currently have just over 10,000 miles on the clock.
Previous car was a 2001 Slush-Box CL-S.

PS….
It makes me feel good to see so many people who traded from the Auto like me.
When I first posted here about doing this, many of you guys ripped me apart for wasting money.
Now I feel somewhat vindicated.

Is any one gonna count how many people on this board actually reply as to having a 6-speed? I am just curious. Logically thinking, if there really were 2700 made, and about 2000 sold, and it's a car for an enthusiast and not just regular Joe, then logically thinking most of the people who own 6-speed would be on this board.
