Good Deal Or....Help/Thoughts?
A 2003 CLS 6spd came into town. 94k miles, navigation, anthracite metallic, stock. Dealer is asking $10,900. They just did the timing belt/water pump. Looks to be pretty darn clean. I'll be test driving the car tonight, unless it sells. It came in over the weekend.
Thoughts?

For reference, 3 years ago I bought this one with 62k miles for only $10K, so you can definitely do better. At the end of the day, if it checks out well, it will still be the best $10k used car you may find. If it were me, I'd shoot for $9250 or less. Anything under $9k will be a good deal.

Thanks guys! I appreciate the help. When I called on the car the sales guy said to me "we are a no haggle dealer." With that said, I'm a little uncertain there would be much room for negotiating.
At this point, I've started looking at other cars around the same price with lower miles, and new...specifically, TSXs.
Also, I won't be viewing the car tonight because apparently the car was "sent out" to get the spoiler repainted since there were scratches.

Was that Carmax? Personally I wouldn't purchase a car from a so called "no haggle" used car dealer that's nothing but bull and if you decide to deal with them make sure you ask for proof of the work they claimed was done. I agree with TheWeez 8K maybe $8500 but no more.

Actually its a local Acura/Subaru dealer. Its a part of the Luther group. I have a friend who is a Finance Manager in another Luther branch who says they don't budge much when it comes to pricing.
Spoke to my bank and did a lot of research and the car is $2k over market value. Not sure what these guys are smoking but we'll see how it goes. I came off really interested in the car when I spoke to the car salesman. When he told me the car was "sent out to get the spoiler repainted" he also asked me to put a deposit down to insure that I would be the first person to get the chance to buy the car. I basically told him I wouldn't put money down on a car I haven't seen and for the money, I've been looking at something else. He replied back with a short reply.
As much as I want a CLs, I just can't justify spending close to $11k on one.

8.5-9k is what private party sales value is on that car. Your not gonna pay the same from a dealer and your basically gonna pay for the belt and water pump they installed, at my local dealer that is a $1100 service including adjusting the valves.
I'm guessing some of the price represents the rarity of the car.

You can go a bit lower. A search online shows you can probably get it for around $9Kish.

I agree, you could get a bit lower.
Don't trust what they say! Make sure you get a carfax from them (dealer i bought it from had it and had an extensive list of past maintenance done by acura dealers), or bring a mechanic to visually inspect if they changed the belt.
My mama bought me my cls @ 138k @ 6999, athrancite, but no navigation, and pretty much flawless on the exterior and interior
So i'm not sure if the navigation increased the price, or they thought that changing the belts would increase the price as well
5 more G's you could buy a used 04-05 wrx sti
Good luck! In the end it's all up to you.
6speeds are very rare.
