"good" condition part bought on eBay Is it really in good condition?
I wanted a new grill mainly because one of the chrome surrounds' fastners had broken and the corner was sitting "up" I finally found one on eBay that was supposedly damage free, (see c&p from description)
It came today and has pitting all over the chrome and two big "pits" in this way it is much worse than mine.
VERY HARD TO FIND!!
This grille came off my white 2003 acura CL
It will fit on 2001 2002 and 2003 ACURA CL
NO DAMAGE. GOOD CONDITION.

It is also missing one of the fasteners, which I can take off mine but this was not disclosed.

I paid 101.00 shipped. Am I wrong to be upset?
I don't want to put it on my car, do you guys think I should send it back and ask for a refund?

Definately get a refund for that. Then order a brand new grille from Honda. You do know the grille itself costs $85 right? And the painted surrounds are $40. The chrome wings and the emblem are less then $30 together.
From your description of your original grille, either the chrome wing (#7) or your grille surround (#6) is broken, so you dont need to replace the entire thing. The grille comes apart.

All prices from www.magauto.com

Well it depends how the seller listed the item. Thats why pictures are important. I mean they can say all the nice things they want about the item, but if there aren't pictures to back it up then you won't have a case.
PayPal is really good about working stuff out, but you should try to work it out with the seller first. Compared to original price for one of those, about $180 + shipping (http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org/...s=&view=normal)
I think you over paid a little. Maybe a partial refund could be worked out?

Here are his pictures:

His response was to demand pictures of my grill and to say he had pictures that show no damage.
I immediately responded that his "closeup" was blurry and not that close and that if he looked carefully even though it is blurry you can see where the pit is.
I waited for almost 45 minutes and having no response took it to the post office, I then opened a dispute and asked for a refund (from him)
I am sure he won't give it but I have tracking that shows it is on it's way back to him.
As far as the price, I figured if it was 80% good it was worth it, mine is 170k old and while it has no pits like those it has seen better days.
Six in that diagram is what is broken on mine.
His description is good condition no damage.

#6 is either $40 for a painted surround or $60 for the chrome one.
On my screen I can clearly see in his closeup that the (A) symbol is filthy/pitted.
Does his auction say no refunds/sold as-is? If so, you probably shouldnt have sent it back to him yet.
On a side note, thats clearly not from an 03.

Not a word re returns.
Since it's ended I hope it's ok to post the auction:

Additionally the entire thing came very dirty, I would never ship something I sold dirty.
It was also poorly packaged in a big box with a small amount of wrapping paper.

First he said I was swapping the parts, then he said he would refund the cost minus the 25.00 shipping.
I filed with paypal they can work it out.

That is the replacement. Mine has a broken tab where the screw that attaches it to the grill screws.
My experience with paypal has been they want a tracking number to show the item is out of my possession.

USPS seems to have lost it. Paypal has granted my refund pending tracking showing delivery which has not changed from "Your item was accepted at 3:11 PM on May 28, 2009 in LAVEEN, AZ 85339. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later."
I went to the P.O. and filled out a trace form this morning, left negative FB & am on the phone with eBay trying to get him booted for listing an item not in his possession as I type.

Paypal should accept it as it says the box is in USPS possession.
Your car is SSM right? You want a painted surround? Ive got a SSM one laying in my garage, it has two very small scuffs on it, looks like tar almost.
