Tranny fluid is changed when the tranny is changed. I wouldn't let 'em change rotors/pads, though. Go aftermarket.

Hmm, changing the fluid is a given when changing the transmision, doesn't seem right they're trying to charge you for that. Weird.

As far as aftermarket rotors, there's tons of different companies making slotted or drilled rotors for our cars. Rotora seems to be very popular, as well as Brembo. I personally have the R1 Concepts rotors and they're great and pretty cheap.

I had my tranny replaced also and acura tryed to come up with all these things I needed to replace also just like your case. They said I needed new brakes and one of my engine mounts needed replacing. I knew I probably needed new brakes soon, but I asked the service technician how long I had till the brakes were gone and he said ooooooo about 4K miles or so. Its been well over 4K miles and my brakes are working just fine, except for a little warp shakin goin on but Ill get them replaced soon. But just goes to tell you that they are just in it to make a buck most of the time. All in all I think its a bad deal if you ask me. Do the more easy stuff urself let acura handle the rest.

Well, if they've got your car in there replacing the tranny under warranty, they aren't making any money from that, they're more than likely loosing money. Most of the people that still have OEM rotors either are warped, or have been warped and turned, both of which will need replacing at one point in time. They figure it would be a quick way to make ~$500 since the car's up on the lift anyway.

Change the tranny fluid? That b/s, should be replaced with the tranny no charge. I was never charged for that crap.

Which mounts are they going to change? I'd check for prices on http://www.acuraoemparts.com/delray/jsp/home.jsp and other sites to get an idea, I believe labor should be free while the tranny is being changed, it was in my case, I had the front one changed for $170, which I probably was getting screwed on.

$500 sounds like an @r$e raping for front rotors and back pads! I got all four of my aftermarket crossdrilled/slotted rotors w/ pads for less than that and now I can stop on a dime. My friend's call them Turbo Brakes.
(I did get them at whole sale price b/c of my friend , but even then they still would have been just around $500 for all four rotors w/ pads)

I'm sure Excelerate can hook you up with a good deal on brakes!

well i jus got off the phone with them.. they said that the tech is sayin my tranny is fine .. jus the mounts that are worn n the fluid that is burnt thats making it jump alot... soo altogether will be about 550 including tax... in this it includes replacing the front and side mounts and new fluid + labor
i figured i might as well get this fixed.. as far as my tranny goes, they said i have an extended warranty on them so 109 k or 93 mo. which ever comes first for my tranny if anything happens down the road...
as far as brakes goes... i am interested in after market brakes so if you guys can lead me in the right direction i would be really thankful
thanks for the replies

Auto dealerships are franchises owned by individuals, they are paid for the warranty work by Honda/Acura since that is who the warranty is with. So they are not losing money at all, they are paid for it. They still try and avoid warranty work sometimes because it looks bad if they have alot of them. And of course they are going to try and get more work done out of you while you are in there. But never feel sorry for the dealer, that is like feeling sorry for your insurance agent if you have a claim because you think he has to pay for it personally.
