Well did you explain to them? I just had my car there today, and I know Tom is a very understanding person. If you tell him the alarm was professionally installed and that you have been having this problem far before that was installed I'm sure they will look into it further.

I have to give him a call in a bit, I was on lunch and already running 1/2 hour late. Tom wasn't around when I picked my car up.
Hopefully they will take a look at it again.

(PS. Not trying to bash PAA, they were great, just a bit of a mis-understanding)

Well, Tom never got back to me so I just called him. He said that the tech went home already.

Guess I'll try again tomorrow.

OK, the saga continues.

I just spoke with Tom again who put me on hold to ask the tech (not jens) what the story was. The tech still blames the alarm but like I said before, the alarm was put in way after the problem arose.
Tom told me to make another appt. and to bring it back in. The earliest I could get was for Feb 11th.

Guess we'll have to wait to see what happens. Worst case scenario is that I have them fix it and I swallow the cost, but I dont' feel comfortable doing that since I know for a fact the alarm has nothing to do with it.

I don't know, anyone have any suggestions? Sucks not having a rear defroster with all of this snow.

Thanks

The dealer that installed the alarm should be able to disconnect it for you for free if you explain what's happening. I had a simlar issue with another car, & the alarm dealer did just that. I went to the car dealer & they fixed it. It was a shorted wire in the harness.

FEB 11th UPDATE

Ok, just dropped it off again this morning.

They will be

1. Installing new inner door handle (driver side)
2. Checking the Rear Defrost problem again
3. Re-Aiming my headlights since it doesn't seem like they did it last time after installing the two new housings.

Will let you all know what happens this time. Keep your fingers crossed!

WOW these guys are great

Tom just called me, and told me to come pick it up.

1. Door Handle installed
2. Headlights were re-aimed.
3. Rear defroster STILL doesn't work, and they don't know why it keeps blowing the fuse. Soooo They ordered me a WHOLE NEW rear window! They said it should be a few days.

These guys go above and beyond! Unbelievable. If they ever close down PAA, I am trading my CL in. lol

Thanks guys.

The saga still continues, but they havent given up on me yet!

Well, it'd certainly be alot easier to tint while its out of the car. but thats an interesting point .. would acura pay to have the tint replaced onto the new window??

If my windows were tinted, I am pretty sure that they would have blamed my problem on titnted windows. Thank God I don't have tints.
