98 CL vs 03 Eclipse GTS

I just got my car today, and I stopped by a friend's work place to show off the CL. He asks if I want to race, goes on break, and I follow him to our designated "race track" (an empty strip by a railroad track).

We line up next to each other--me in my 100% stock, automatic 2.3 98 CL, and him in his stock 03 GTS Eclipse. My girlfriend yells go, I floor it, he burns out, and kicks my ass from the start. He had like 4 cars on me the entire time.

We went for a second time, and I had a car length head start. Nevertheless, he still beat me, though only with about one car length.

That's the last time I mess with a v6.

Nice death.

With a 0-60 of 6.7 and a 1/4 of 15.2 your gonna need to slap on some mods for next time. Was he the manual or Sportronic?

Congrats on the new car though. Any plans on modding it up?

He was manual. And yeah, hopefully pretty soon I'll start adding some mods.
