Going from a Cl to a fun beater.....uhh

Okay well in a year from now I will be going to college, probably the University of Florida. At that point, I think the Cl will be very hard to properly maintain, since Id prefer to not care so much about cars at that point of time in my life. Therefore my brother who is 15 now, will be 16 when i leave for college, and I may give him the Cl. If I decide to do this, Im thinking of getting something I can beat on that is relatively fast, or could be with small modding, and handling is a priority (after driving the Cl-S, thats the only thing that is not amazing about the car). It can be used and i want it to be up to 25k, not much more. I also want to be able to not care about washing it and maintaining it every second, and not care about parking next to other cars. Can someone suggest a good option for me?

Why not just keep the CL if you're going to be buying another car for 25k? If you had said you want to get a car for like 10k, that I could understand.

well, my bro is gonna get a new car or my car, so its not about the money, if u had the choice and the Cl being my first car, I realized that I liked the luxury and acceleration of the Cl, but I also realized how much more fun a car can be that has good acceleration and handling. I am willing to leave some of the luxury ( i may miss it) to escape the rattle machine, and have another experience with a fast/good handling car.

I'd keep the CL-S. I don't think it would have that many probs, besides if you have a slushbox the tranny's guaranteed for 7 yr /100K miles. Other than an occasional rattle from the speaker grilles I don't think you'll have a lot of probs. For $25K you can get a used S2000, used Prelude, or a new Accord EX-V6 after haggling with the dealer, or a Neon SRT, VW GTI, or a supercharged Mini. If you're worried about reliability go for the Accord. If you want performance get the S2000.

240 or the gsr sound like good cars, although when your going from a cls to either of those they wont be a classy ride, they will feel much cheaper.

i would say go for like a mini-s or something (sure it looks gay (hehe) but its still a top notch car)
