Going to Carlsbad Drags on Sat Nov 3rd
Was just wondering if any of you would like to head that way and get some base line times for your car. I will in a dark Blue A6 along with a Dark Green A6. trying to get in line ~11:30-11:45. Dont forget a helmet. Should be fun.

Yes 14.027. But I have some hesitation in the car @5k rpm, but have to get some anyways, since I'm putting on exhaust next month and the hesitation may not be gone even then. So since I want to see if any improvement with the exhaust I have to run with the problem : (.. Since its hesitating my guess I might be closer to 14.4's today. Will post the times good or bad.
here are the splits from today. Car was indeed hesitating and after the first run I tried something different each time. First run I let the car shift itself and it went into 4th just before the finish. The next run I made the car stay in 3rd and lost pwer in the high rev's. Gonna have to get the hesitation problem fixed.
Since I do not know how to post a pic here, these are the splits:
60' 2.166
330' 5.991
1/8 9.161@78.11
1/4 14.168@97.74
Held third on this run
60' 2.111
330' 5.920
1/8 9.084@78.31
1/4 14.157@95.33
held third and again lost power due to high rev hesitation.
60' 2.079
330' 5.891
1/8 9.058@78.42
1/4 14.063@98.49
Let car shift itself and shifted into 4th right before end.
Conclusion was: Since the car is leaning out at the high revs I was losing power at the top of third. Shifting to 4th was the best thing to do but I need some more top end power. Maybe thats were the exhaust will help. It seems to get any faster I will need to get 4th gear involved.
Oh well, I thought it was going to be worse so I'm pleased. My 60' was alittle off of my proior times, usually around 2.000-2.01.
This was done with A6 2.7T Automatic.

chip only mod. plus 18" wheels @ 27lbs each!!. Hope they figure out the problem before I get the exhaust, I would love to finally hit into the 13's.
There were a couple honda/acura cars there, we were parked next to the track but no one came up during the races. Some quick cars were there. Some of them had to shut off at the 1000' mark so they would get banned for going to fast for the track!!! LOL
