IF the weather cooperates. These will be my first runs with the AEM and Stone headers. I'll be emptying the trunk of some shit...spare, jack, stock headers, and other goodies which have been collecting all winter. I'm hoping for at least 14.7x, if not 14.6x. Unfortunately, I'll be on stock shoes.

If you got a 14.8 stock then you might be able to pull off a 14.6 or maybe even a 14.5.

hey man...I saw you run, but I was always running when you weren't and vice versa. My phone was inective until about 5:45 last ngiht. I guess there was soem billing issue. Sorry about that if you were trying to call. I was on the phone with AT&T working it out the whole time.

Damn that place was packed. For what it's worth I had my best runs ever, but nothing to brag about. 14.66@95. I was losing about 4-5 psi of boost and my launching skills are pretty poor. I think I'm going to be going often this year to really work on launching. I think the times will be there with practice.

I'll scan and post my slips at a later time, but here are my four runs for the evening. Check my sig for mods...these were with stock rims and tires, at about 20 - 21 psi.

14.636 - 95.59 - 0.683 (RT) - 2.329 (60')
14.414 - 97.10 - 0.739 (RT) - 2.308 (60')
14.438 - 97.09 - 0.777 (RT) - 2.311 (60')
14.600 - 97.22 - 0.995 (RT) - 2.387 (60') I spun through first on this run, leading, I believe, to the higher trap, but slower ET.

Overall, I'm quite pleased. With drag radials and better launches, I would think I could get 14.3x or 14.2x, at least. Not bad for an NA Auto. I'd love to be able to break 14s NA, but I don't wanna spend a ton of dough doin' it. I have a feeling that my desire to run nitrous will come back...soon. I want 13s dammit!!

Big ups to the weather...she held out until the very end of the night.

Ray, it was good to see you again, although I didn't get to see any of your runs. But, Andy and Ben were runnin' nice. Andy did a 12.5, his best ever!!! And, he's about to get it tuned to hell, too. Holy crap, his S4 is gonna be fast as a motherf*cker!!

 

BTW, y'all...Be sure to bring long pants with you to the track. You are NOT allowed to race in shorts or tanktops. It was cold as f*ck last night, so most of us weren't in shorts, but there were a few. It'll get hot as hell during the summer, so make sure you bring pants to put on right before your runs if you wanna wear shorts for the rest of the day.

I did not do well last night ... I have for sure traction problems with my 2 yrs old nittos... when cold they are like glass... not rubber... I had 14.87s, (2.58s 60') 14.81s, 15.0 (almost lost control on 2nd shift going sidways) and last 14.7s. PSI was 28 down 26... No hops but mad slips and spins...

He has upgraded turbos, and a bunch of other crap that I can't really remember right now. He's doin' somethin' with the chip and I don't know what else. All I know is...his shit is QUICK!!

Fred, that S4 is rediculous, he has a bunch of different chips from different tuners for all different octanes. He has RS4 turbos, RS4 injectors, RS4 airbox, RS4 MAF, ported intake manifold, from a later S4 and a mess of crap. He has an intake mister, so he sprays a mixture of water and alchohol from his wiper fuid resevior into the intake when his boost get's above 10 psi. I might try this with mine down the road. It really lowers intake temps. I think the one draw back to his setup is stock intercoolers. My guess is they are heat soaked by 3rd gear as mine is. He is going to RS4 intercoolers which are abotu 50% larger than his stock ones. That should help a bit. He is getting some custom software tuning done which is is supposed to add even more power. I think this is key too as A4's can run 13.5 on pump gas yet he can only run 13.1 (granted with a higher trap) with an S4 with upgraded turbos. His 60ft times aren't bad 1.9 usually, but better S4 drivers are 1.8 and some 1.7's. Practice makes perfect and mods make us poor.

Damn, I need me an RS4! Hey ray, do you think Paul's car (dude you bought your skirts from...sounds funny when you say it) is faster? That guy had a mean looking S4 (RS4 pretty much).

I don't know how fast Paul's car is. He was claiming quite a bit. He claims things I've neard no other S4 owner doing. He was upgrading to bigger turbos than K04's at some point too. So for his car who knows. The fastest S4 is a guy in PA who has GT28's on his S4. The plumbing is way different that a stock S4 since there is little space for bigger turbos in the stock S4. I think he is at liek 600 hp Andy got a ride in his car and said it was WAY faster than his own 12.5 second car. This was the silver S4 that raced the Viper at Eppign when we went last year. He had around 400-450 hp on 94 octane gas last year. His car is so worked though.
