Getting rid of CL-S (tear...)

Well, my being out of work has finally forced me to get rid of my CL-S. It will be a sad day. I am getting rid of it for a base RSX, Satin Silver w/leather and AUTO (damn GF can't drive stick so no Type-S for me.) Anyway, at least the RSX is a fun car. I may be getting back to work soon (I have an interview on Mon.) so I hopefully I can get something else come the summer time (we also have a Jeep with a lease ending in July). Well, back to being depressed over my loss...

Sorry about your current situation... Hopefully things will turn around.

39k miles on a PDG CL-S, eh? It must be an early build, any tranny problems?

If you can't afford the CL-S, how can you afford an RSX? Those things are worth about as much as the dealer will give you for the CL.

Well, its too bad man, you giving up the PDG, but what needs to be, needs to be done. RSX is a fun little car, it will get you around with some style, not like a CL, but deffinetly not bad at all.

The job market seems to be picking up so I wish you the best in that respect. Good luck

Wouldn't the price, tax title, etc be MORE for a new RSX than a used CL, PDG to boot?!

While the amount is close to be the same, the monthly payments would work out to be less since he is basically taking a cheaper car for a long term finance, lets say 60 months. He can also refinance his CL for longer term to lower his payments, however his insurance will still be high as I would think insurance for RSX is much cheaper.

I can explain this further if above is not clear.

It's pretty simple,

CL-S payments: $613.85/month
RSX Payments: $397.13/month

In my pocket: $216.72/month

Remember, the CL was about 5K more new. I can still afford a $400/month car payment. Again, I do have an interview on Monday that I am pretty sure will go well.

Also, I totally agree about stepping down in a car, but remember, I have a Jeep coming up on a lease in July. If I get to work now, and save some more cash (along with the cash I have now) I will be able to get another bad ass car then. This is only a temporary set back for me.

Thanks for the support...

No, no problems with the tranny. Just a couple of scratched rims....

CCNS, it's only a temp man- I hear ya! Not a bad temp either I must say.

Turn in that jeep and get something better when you land that phat job. I'm sure San would not mind driving the RSX.

Good luck- Also we should hit that range again soon.

BTW:
"fbazakos" you might what to show some respect here and in the future, please don't post any more pics of your mod'd out bigwheel.

Zapata & Xenon,

Thanks for the replies, but I don't think he meant anything by it. But it's good to know that your there to back my azz up. And yes, this is only temporary. Sandy has already said she would happily take the RSX when ever I get a damn job and are ready to get something else.

I am pretty sure I'll get the job I am interviewing for on Monday. But again, nothing is set in stone just yet. On a side note, Y-100 (local Philly radio station) did hire me in their promotions department, so at least I'll be getting some $ immediately (plus the chance to be on air from time to time late at night and do some production work)

I am already thinking about the next car....

Decisions, decisions, decisions.....(used NSX maybe? or maybe the new Z. Either would definately be possible....)

Oh and xenon, we definately need to get to the range again soon. It would probably do me some good right now (stress relief).
