I've had an 01 Type-S for nearly 5 years now. I have no major complaints except for the transmission. When it works it works but there's always that threat of failure looming over your head. I had my transmission crap out around 54k miles. I'm up to ~76 now and I haven't had any troubles but it makes me nervous. The stealership will charge ~4k to replace the transmission out of warrantee.
9k seems like a pretty good deal for this car. kelly blue book puts it at 11k for a good condition and 10k for fair condition. Given the transmission issue 9k sounds about right.

I've had an '01 CL-S for 8 years. (new in Aug 2000) no problems WHATSOEVER. no major ones anyways. aside from the squeaking moonroof- fixed with teflon tape at the stealership in '02. my latest problem is a non-working rear-view mirror no longer auto-dimming.

YES!!! Finally got it today, couldn't be happier. Seems like (for now) I got a really good deal. $9k 79,000 miles and the tranny was replaced at 35K, so hopefully, it'll last for a while... Plans in the works..... All black- everything- rims, badges, trim, lights and windows. For now... intake, exhaust(maybe) needs to be dropped.... Looking for some springs, no coil overs (roads are shit in Detroit). Got a grand to dump in her and I need the best bang for the buck... Ideas? Pics as soon as I clean her..........

Congrats, its def the best bang for ur buck! You got the rare look, spare hp, and acura luxury. Hope you enjoy, welcome to AZ! If I had a g to put into my CLS, most members are gonna tell you def intake and headers, best for the buck and HP. That or either just save the loot to fix for repairs, cause these boogers arn't cheap to fix
