I always heard Citgo and convenience store gas was not that good. I've used Chevron a long time cause i've always heard it was good. Prices jumping around a lot, was down to $1.39 now at $1.41 - $1.43 at some stations, premium, of course.

Yo man just hit the Chevron on Military and Hypo. Maybe thats too far S, but they do have good prices and GOOD gas.
Citgo is convenence store gas, they add water to their gas . Really man don't use that crap, spend the few pennies now so that u are not spending the bucks later.

If Chevron were available in this area, I'd use it exclusively. For some reason my Japanese engines ('00 Max and now '03 CL-S - and I know the CL is made in Ohio) seem to like Chevron and I look for it as soon as I hit the Kentucky border on my occasional trips to Texas - and fortunately there are Chevron dealers on the way back. However, I've been using Sheetz (equivalent to Wawa and those local type of 7/11 type stores that sell gas) locally and I do much better mileage wise than when using Exxon. For some reason these engines like this gas, but the M3 prefers Exxon.

One of the local news channels here in Washington D.C. just did a report last week on cheap gas station & brand name stations. They question they were asking was is it okay to use the cheaper no name gas stations to fill up your car with. This was geared for this holliday travel weekend. They ask one of the big wigs in the petro industry about it.
The fact is that most all gas comes comes from the same places. What they said was alot the cheaper stuff does not have many or none of additive packages that the name brand stations use. So some cheaper stations might not have the deicer in thier gas in the winter. They may also not have the additives that make our cars run cleaner. But they said the car should run fine in general with the cheaper stuff with little or no noticeable effect. They also said if your car does not require premium fuel do not buy it but if it does you should use it like we need.
I myself would look at the condition of the gas station before I purchased gas. I also use SHEETZ or WAWA gas most of the time.
I would not consider them major brand names but the are not the no name types. I have used SHEETZ alot in the last 3&1/2 yrs that I have owned my 2000TL. The price of gas here in D.C. is high $1.75-$1.89 premium now. I fill up once a week at SHEETZ or WAWA $1.42- $1.45 now70 miles from the city when I visit my sister. I only get gas here in D.C. rarely with major name brand. My car runs very well but I also use the BG44K fuel system cleaner that ACURA puts in at 15k & 30K service intervals. I use this myself every 7,500 miles like it says on the can.

Any thoughts on Sunoco? They're the only place around me that sells 92 (most places are 91), and it's typically cheaper. I can also get 94 from em if i'm going to the track.

So you guys think that citgo gas is not good. I mean it is 93 Premium and I do push the car pretty hard, but I pay for my own gas and I dont think i can take the price hit. At citgo down here its like $1.65 compared to $1.85 at other stations around the area.

Man stop going to Boca to get gas . I am easily getting Chevron for less than 1.60, and yes that is 93. Go to some of the lower class places and u can find it even cheaper.
