Gas Milage again....

last Saturday I filled up from exxon... Today, I was looking at at my Counter A, and it reads 189, I barely below the half tank mark!!!! That is encouraging news... we will see how much I will do on this tank....

Oh! I have the Injen CAI for couple days.... Today, It was raining heavily since yesterday evening almost like 18-hrs straight!!!. No problem so far, Just to sleep better, I am avoiding any puddles

I have been getting 320+ miles per tank.

My last fill up, I had 325.3 miles and put in 13.784 gallons which equals 23.6 mpg

Not too bad!!!

Oh yeah, this is with my Xephry CAI, and me gunning it almost all the time, I am constantly in the VTEC and almost redlining my car.

My best was after I got the CAI and I played nice, I got 367.4 miles and filled up 14.3 which equals 25.7 mpg

Can't wait to see how it does on a road trip with my CAI on there, should be well over 400 miles on one tank

My last 212.5 miles (@ 18.75 MPG), had some 65 miles HW and all the remaining are mixed 3-10 miles 50-50 City/Highhway trips.

So, I guess that makes it 74 city miles , 138 HW miles 35% City 65% HW, with EPA numbers that would have to be some 25.5 MPG....

I'm averaging between 21 to 24.5 miles per gallon. I testing now to see if turning off VSA will help increase my miles per gallon.

I drive about 80-20 highway to city (or rush hour crap). Highway speeds average 75-80. I typically get 25.5 to 26 mpg. The car has about 16,000 miles on it.

Heck, you guys must not be in the congestion we are in. My wife has a 1995 Altima stick shift with POS Goodyear GS-A tires and she gets about 14 miles per gallon.

Of course, the drive consists of short 1 block crawls, followed by a 1-3minute wait at a light, followed by a mix of short blocks with stop signs.

The car gets about 30 mph on the HWY, but 14mph in rush hour.

Makes me wonder where you guys live...

BTW -- Her 10 mile drive take 45min to an hour on city streets.

I get consistently 350-360 miles per tank and average 25 MPG, mostly from my daily 50-mile round trip commute on moderately congested roads with few traffic signals.

Today, I made a call to Montreal, and I deciced to drive from Nashua, NH to Burlington, VT driving distance is some 185 miles each way.

Before leaving Nashua, I filled her up with her usuall Exxon 93. I reset a 160 miles for 7.1 Gal. for 22.54 MPG.

Amazingly it was sonwing with blue sky and a big bright sun ! Driving though Vermont was hazardous and snowing heavily at times.

Oh Yeah, V1 saved me somehow for 20+ ticket. The cop was parked just over a hill and his patrol car was in the same direction as the flow. I was tig taging with POS NEON Driving some 90+ , a Volvo wagan joined the pack and I was happy to let them have the lead. Once we cleared the hill I saw the Volvo signal right and brake!. I realized that a cop is just ahead. V1 picked some 2 click signal but I already saw the blue lights flashing!!! So I immediately slowed down to 75 and let it go. I passed the patrol car and my V1 was a full strenght Ka blast!!! I said to my self "Oh my god, no... I got caught!" However, for a reaon no more blue lights and the Neon just kept going at some 80+. I also turned off my V1 and tucked it away in the armrest console just in case.

Luckily the cop did not pull us over and the encouter ended peacefully.

However, coming back at 6:30 PM was a bit nerving, It was snowing heavily again, Max posted speed was 40. I saw at least a dozen or so cars that left the road. The first one was in the middle divider way down ditched. 1 mile later another 2 cars 1 on the right one on the left.....I drove at some 30-40 for some time until the road cleared.

Finally, after few rest area stop, and 1 coffee refill, I was able to proceed to some 65-75 back to nashua.

Just as I am taking my usual exit to Nashua, The big Empty went on. Oh, I looked at my counter and it is 382.5 miles. Usually, at Empty I fill some 14.5 Gals. So, I guess if I would be correct that would be 26.38 MPG. Not bad, this is very similar to the 26 MPG I got from my last trip to Montreal.

I have to be somehow satisfied. I think those who get 34MPG are running on a very flat roads and for long distances.
