g/f's 03 AV6 vs 4-door M3

coming back from dinner tonight, had a short run in with a 4-door M3. we were driving my g/f's new AV6 coupe auto and had just broke the 500 mile barrier, so i figured why not, the kid had a kit and some blue headlights, so i said sure...we went from a 20-85mph roll and were pretty even....not sure of mods, other than exhaust, but i give him credit, he hung well....i think if we'd kept going we may have pulled on him, but who knows....i know the AV6 will pull on him when i get done with it...oh yeah, i'll post pics sometime next week when we get the springs put on....

those M3's aren't straight line cars...more about the twisties...nonetheless, pretty nice that the new accord can hang.

im sure some people will be skeptics, but dont forget about the 240hp stock, i mean E36's only came with 225hp....anyways, i agree, they are better in the twisties........

the e36 2dr 5 speed is a low 14 second car. I have a friend that ran a 13.7 with only a chip and intake.

whether this one was auto or not doesn't matter too much since you raced from a roll, but i'm sure the 4dr's are a little slower. (not much though)

Good race!!

i might put some headers on there eventually, but its really her call, she likes it quiet, so probably no intake or exhaust...but i think i can convince her to get some headers

Unfortunantly you cannot put headers on the 03 Accords because of the Monoblock unit it has. The header is part of the block and the cat is located very close to the header. You should check it out under the hood. I have intake and a Sun automobile hyper ground system. Invidia exhaust is out this month!

Good Race!!

Good kill! Yeah, what Jag said was correct; the AV6 pretty much has the equivalent of Headers stock.

Careful though, Honda tunes that engine fairly aggressively (so much so that using premium adds to the HP!)
