The future of the integra

so with all these little fuckers going so fast these days (srt4 neons, mazdas, wrxs, lancers, etc.), what position is the Acura Integra in? I don't even think anyone would pay a premium for the stupid shit TypeS integra when its so slow compared to say an SRT4 neon which costs about the same price as a TypeS RSX.

When will Acura learn that they cannot keep the rip-offs going..sooner or later, they will have to offer something for the competition.

they arent suposed to be THAT fast. IMO i think that

acuras front wheel drive and stock suspension setup are

much more nicer than any FORD DODGE CHEVY MITSU

handling. the exception is definately them soobys.

And its Type R not Type S.

Just fuckin with ya

RSX will be gone in another model year or two. Expect something better to replace it, though probably under the Honda badge.

i heard the srt-4 handles really really well, also comes with some goodies that the rsx doesn't, i.e. limited slip (i think the rsx doesn't come with that) to increase preformance

im sure acura will pick up the pace

With Acura your paying for the quality. American cars aren't all that reliable. And anyway, it's still a neon...

Do you have this on authority? I hope your right, the RSX really pulls down Acura's image IMHO.

I wish they would put the engine in a honda civic, build it in the usa or canada so the price is cheap. Hopefully they will, I can imagine the rsx becoming more of a tsx coupe, moving up in price, then that opens up some room for a top line civic.

Think I would take the 'just a neon' at this point over an rsx.

I could've sworn I saw an RSX Type S commercial, as a previous 91 Intergra owner... I loved that little car, it was ahead of it's time, i.e. 140horses out of 1.8liters, no Vtechs, no turbos, as well as as SportShift, always it came in only 2 speeds, allowing you to do S3 or S4. Last time I tried the new RSX, although the interior was top notch, the little car felt 'heavy', underpowered, and in type S, 200 hp - yeah, but where is the 'tourque'???

The actual appearance design of last 2 generations of Integras/RSX plainly SUCKS in my opinion, it looks just as it feels.. BLOATED. It looks like a Hyndai to me ... Remember those 2nd gen integras ad - inspired by an F18 cockpit/appearance- I DON't want to know what inspired the latest design..

If I'd be Nissan... I'd smell an oppty to OWN that side of a market... - they do something like a mini-Blubird in G20 based skin... an Acura will not only lose 45,000 sales like they did w/ G35/Z, but 75,000 or whichever the number of RSXs they push.

I question what the hell are they [acura] thinking? Killing such a LEGENDARY brand, i.e. in 15 or so years... they reached so much, yet fastly going to nowhere. I think all the Customer Relations/Service bustards are overtaking design & performance studios... NOW that would seem pretty consistent.. wouldn't you say ..

Had to vent for a bit... when dudes here do BETTER, fresher and so damn appealing of a design work... [the 'new' '06 CL ..] then the actual designers ...
