I agree. Honda/Acura doesn't have balls. They are a very consertive company (not that there's anything wrong with that ).

H/A has decided to not challange the other luxury cars in the CLS category (BMW 330, etc, etc). Heck, they just abandoned the lux/sport coupe market when they discontinued the CL.

Nissan/Infiniti seems to be at least making an attempt, with great new products like the G35 and 350Z. I might not like the interior styling of the G35, but I have to admit, that Nissan/Infiniti have balls

Don't get me wrong, I love my CLS 6spd, but if I had to buy a car today, it wouldn't be an Honda/Acura product. There are alot of other great choices out there.

make the CL a RWD w/ at least 300 hp, concept design, brembo option, 18" rims, sick OEM bodykit, I'd say it'll sell better even compared to both 1st and 2nd gens.

Acura needs a muscle coupe! next to the NSX that is, that falls in the 30K-40K price range, what ya'll think?

I I had a dang $1 for every post or thread like this in an ACura forum, I'd have a BUgatti. Dude, guess what, it ain't gonna happen. So JUMP to the competition.

I don't ask Lexus for no V-8 manual. If I really want one, BMW here I come. Accept the car maker for who they are and not what you want them to be...

Or mod your car!!

BTW, :noob: :noob: :noob:

If H/A doesn't improve their basic quality .. interiors .. brakes .. trannies .. sunroofs .. it won't matter what they build

They got the ballz and they're gonna have the auto industry by the ballz when the 04 tl arrives...hehehe...I see this coming in 05 or 06...300hp...maybe. I think the hopefully coming CL will be more along the lines of a 2-seater coupe like the S2000 w/ a V6....we can all hope or better yet...contact Honda and make demands!

I don't know about that. The TL isn't really that big of a departure from the normal H/A products. Sure, the exterior and interior styling is pretty hot on the new TL and TSX, but we'll have to see if they release a typeS version (later on). Form vs. function. Bling Vs. Zing. I don't know about you, but I'll take Zing over Bling anyday of the week.

300hp is pushing it on a FWD platform (I don't think that H/A will produce a car w/ more hp then the current NSX).

Honda/Acura doesn't care about your demands. They care about the bottom line. If it sells, they'll make it, if not, they'll discontinue it. If the marketing analysis study shows that they have a good change of making huge profits, then you'll see it.

Acura seems to market their luxury cars (cl,tl,rl) to an older crowd (aging baby boomers). Coupe buyers are generally younger, while emptynesters usually buy a coupe that's more expensive then the CL was. I think that H/A wants us performace minded people to buy the RSX and TSX (I'll never buy a new 4 banger unless it's turbo'ed).

W/ the increase in price of the base TL, the TL isn't as good of a bargain as it once was. Sure there are some options that add value, but at a base of $33k (estimated) they are pushing the tl into a higher priced car segment. Since the gap is going to be narrower between the TL and the competition (G35, BMW 330), I think alot of people will just chose a G35 in that price range or bump up to the 330 (except the pussies that can't drive RWD in the snow ).

I hope that Acura does come out with an AWD (rwd is a pipedream, as is a V8) 330hp coupe to compete w/ the BMW M3 for thirtysomething thousand, But I think that'll you'll probably see those traits in a redesigned $90K NSX instead.

I think Acura does have very big "BALLS",,, Acura is Honda,, Honda is motorcycles,,, the bikes and tech they compete with and keep up with is unbelievable,,, you don't mention Yamaha at any plant,, be it cars or motorcycle plants,, I know engineers in Ohio and this is the case,,, they don't care what car you drive just you don't dare pull up on a Yamaha,,, Now back to balls,,, look closely at the A- spec TL,, this thing is loaded like no other Honda (Acura if you must) before it,, it's just not a two door "YET",,, will they roll over and die because of the G35 (read Yamaha),,, no ffkn way,, competition is what they live for and thrive very well with,,, just look closely at the engineering in the engines,,, there is tech on them that came from mutimillion dollar racing programs,,, and you need "BALLS" to be in the Europe programs.. if I use the term "Balls" anymore I may turn Gay,,, "not that there's anything wrong with that" to quote Sinfeild (sp) IMO

one additional note.. I read somewhere that Honda/Acura is on a roll like Nissan was and still on a roll like 2 years ago... It was something like some 17-18 new models in the next few years!!

BTW!, just look at Honda and Nissan share Values and net profits:

very well said..... i agree with you 100%
after all it took seriously big nuts to build the s2000
a street driven car with a 9000rpm redline, front engine rear wheel drive car. that went against everything honda stood for. and what other car company is getting 120hp per liter out of a normally aspirated engine?
