OK, so I'm driving around town last night and a guy in a A4 3.0 wants some. I was on my way to the golf shop to order my new sticks.

This dude was originally behind me and tried to swing around in front of me, and I floored it and wouldn't let him past. So he had to fall in behind me. Four lane road went down to two...

THEN!!! My V1 goes off... K band, weak but definitely a cop. So the guy behind me is flashing his brights telling me to pick up the pace, but I wouldn't do it because I knew there was a cop ahead. He was flippin' me off (at least it looked like it, honking his horn for sure) and really getting agitated.

Sure enough about 1 mile up the road, the copper was sitting in the normal speed-trap hiding spot.

So I turn the corner and the A4 is still on me, but instead of passing me, he just held back behind me (four lane road). I thought something was wrong.

So I kept on my way, and pulled into the golf shop parking lot and the guy in the A4 pulls next to me and hops out. I didn't know what the hell was going to happen.

He comes over and asks me "How did you know the cop was there?" He had a huge look of confusion on his face. So I showed him the V1 and the remote install. He nearly shit his pants. Said it was the coolest thing he'd ever seen and wanted to get one. I told him about the V1 website and he thanked me.

In leaving he did say... "I understand why you have something like that with a car that fast."

 

 

I want one but dont want to shell out 400 bucks

 

On ebay, you can get a used decent one for as little as $250.

 

think about it this way. If it saves you out of just 1 or 2 tickets it's paid for itself.

Great story.

I just have a simple Beltronics radar detector and it has saved me many $. I am sure that I have saved some people some cake but nobody has every thanked me. That is great.
