Funky smell when accelerating hard

I did a search about smells, but didn't come up with anything that relates...

When I accelerate hard (going onto highway, leaving toll booth), I notice a funky smell (like rotten eggs) when I get the engine up to about 5000 RPMS going from 3rd to 4th.

Any idea what it could be?

I just recently switched (2 weeks ago) from 89 octane gas to 93 octane gas. Does this relate?

Thanks folks.

Is your AC on? You might be smelling the hot AC air when the car shuts it off at WOT.

Usually if it smells like sulfer, it has something to do with the catalytic converter......

But I could be way off

mc_yanzo, I get the same exact smell.

Do a seach back, this has come up several times.

I still can't figure it out and I've tried everything.

If you find something let me know. It is not the AC.
