Does anybody know why my fuel pump will turn on every 3-4 mins while car is off and key is out? I was thinking it could be the main relay or ignition switch.. just wanted to know if anyone else has had this problem. And had it fixed? before i order parts that arent necessary. any feedback would be helpful.

 

That's not ur fuel pump that is likely ur bypass valve under the car behind the drivers seat releasing fumes from the gas tank as pressure expands. Look at the evap canister and I bet the noise is coming right from there

My car does that only in the hot summer...

I can unplug the battery and it still happens so you know it's not electronically activating somehow..

Took me 2 years to figure that out on my own lol
