i got an oil change today at the local jiffy lube and the guy told me that i needed my fuel injectors cleaned out. he said its killing my gas mileage and giving my car poor performance and that they could clean it for 60 bucks. i didnt get it done cause usually they overcharge for shit like that. does anyone know if it can be done yourself, if its under warranty, or i can get it done for cheaper?

 

60 bucks isnt a bad price, and it will help you get better gas mileage. carbon buildup is not a good thing...

 

1. They do NOT NEED to be cleaned out.
2. NEVER EVER EVER go to jiffey lube again!!!!!!!!My buddy used to work there and has told me stories that u wouldn't want to know. They used to sell diff fluid changes on cars that DIDN'T even have diff's!!!!!!!If the oil filter was in a tight location, they would just clean the outside of it and let ity go. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!, and trust me, if u have no drivability issues...don't worry about ur fuel injectors.

jiffy lube is just a place where you go if you like getting raped in the ass. OMG that place is just below the scum of the earth. Wow is all i can say, that they still have customers comming to them for service.
