I do it ALL THE TIME..

I think I'm in SS and go to shift down since I have mine reversed, but anyways....I always shift into neutral..it's really irritating...

HEY! How hard was that? What does it entail? I'm dying to do that so it will mimic sequential shifting in one of my favorite racing series, the BTCC.

Pretty much every time I accidentally bump it up into neutral, I just leave it there, and let the rev's drop, or better I can catch myself and not even hit the accelerator. I've chirped the tires maybe twice with popping it into neutral and not thinking and putting it back into drive to 'quickly' take care of it, just sort of instinctual.

Now I'm pretty good about catching myself.

Once when my girlfriend was driving the car, she had it in auto and shifted up into neutral, immediately I saw her doing the same thing as I, the instinctual shift back to drive and I caught her hand and said 'no, just let it go, then shift when its okay.'
