I notice all the pictures i see of your guys' CLs have no front plates. You complain about tickets for tints...do you ever get hassled for a front plate? In CA you have to have one, my brother got a ticket for no front plate when he was PARKED.


I bought my cl-s 6 mos new from this guy...and it already had this plastic license plate holder attached to the front. It screws in underneath the front fender so there are no permanent visible holes...it just scratches the paint up a bit (stupid paint) so i lined it with foam and that seems to be preventing further damage.

I want to take it off, but a couple times it saved my front end from damage. In downtown LA at the auto show in 2001, this stupid lady in a beat up van who didnt even speak english backed up right into me at this intersection...very slowly though...luckily it caused no damage to my car-only cracked the plastic front plate cover. plus a couple times pulling in to the garage and hitting some file cabinet again only cracked the front plate cover, so im weary to take it off. Plus my license plate is personalized: it says "YEAAAHH." haha

 

I haven't had a front place since I got the car, which has been about 1.5 years, and I've never once been hassled about it. It's illegal not to have one here in Oregon too.
