Front License Plate Relocation

The time is coming when Im going to have to put a front plate on and I hate the factory location. All I did is flipped the bracket upsidedown and tried locating it in a couple places ( www.zippy.freeservers.com ). Which spot do you think looks better? Will there be any airflow problems by doing this? Also any suggestions on how to mount the bracket to the grill (preferably without drilling any holes). Thanks

put it inside the trunk.

you won't have any air flow problems then.

And if you should ever get pulled over, just tell them it broke off and you have it in the trunk and will get it fixed asap.

Put it where it should be, over the bumper.

Im going to have to agree. Just put it where it should be, if your going to put it on. I think it looks best in the factory spot and if you decide to clear your lights or something and you have no front plate you have a better chance of getting pulled over.

I like the first picture. I would have to disagree about putting it back the factory way.

This is just my opinion, but I agree with the "put it in the trunk" idea. I think the car looks sooo much better without the front license plate. That is just my opinion though.

I'd have to say go with the stock location or in the trunk.

BTW, we don't need no stinking front plates here!! (NM)

What state are you in? Many here have experience mounting the front plate in the trunk and have not been stopped in years. But if you come back and say something like NJ then we will understand.

If you really think you have to wear it on front, the first pic is best. Someone on the board really early, like last fall, mounted from the lower screw positions with a metal trap to hang the plate below the bumper. It looked okay.

I live in MA where it is required and have mine mounted on top of the spare tire.

MikeS,
I live in Ct where they are gradually converting to 2 plates. I do keep the plate in the trunk but the cops jump on any reason to pull you over to find something else (not that I have anything to hide but its just the hassle). Your giving them an invitation to detain you. And I find it hard to believe there are actually people that like the way it looks in the stock location.
