It'll look weird on the CL, but if you like it, go for it.

A universal splitter on the cl will look like garbage. a custom one will be too pricey to make and still wont go well with the CL. The pointy beak of the cl with the sides rounded out is an odd shape for a splitter.

I think if you were able to contour the shape correctly it might actually look ok with a lip

I bought a universal carbon fiber splitter and I was never able to get it mounted because of the shape of the CL's underside.

It isn't flat so it's an awkward look...

Plus there's that plastic fender lining with those parts that "carrot" out by the wheel wells.

Need to modify something (Like a lip) to create a flat mounting location.

Big waste of money and now it's been sitting under my bed for a long time.

Just sharing my experience.

Bought it from another member on Azine...who had a modified Versus lip if I recall.

If I find the thread I'll point it in your direction.

tl lip isnt straight on the bottom. Honestly if you guys want to try and be creative, unique I am all for it, but i just see this as a waste of time and money and the chances of it looking good are slim.

If I was going to do body modification to the car personally the only thing i would consider is a fully molded ron jon or 01 TL kit, which both look amazing molded to me(i would go the rj route over tl myself tho). Only other thing Id ever think about is widebody.

I was almost thinking that subie lip looked like some stuff people were trying to use from like home depo or something.

Are you just going to use a lip to fill the gap inbetween the splitter and the car ?

Working on a front lip for the mz3. So far removed the front end to trace lip contour, traced a design on "pink foam" insulation from HD, carved out a design, and now applying fiberglass. So far its been about 3 weeks work. It took a while due to working on this in my spare time. So far over all 15 hours spent. I will post progress as steps are completed

another idea for the wind splitter i can do the same for the lip also

That's just for looks making it like that, right ?
What are you using to carve ?
Do fillers stick to it ?

I seen some car show where they used those sheets and attach them to the side of a car then shaped a wide body mold then fiber glassed over them to make fiber glass wide body pannels.
