Be smart and Don't do it. Keep racing of the streets. go to the track.
I raced lude on track and I beat him all the time. It was manual.
And CL-S got better handl.
Thanks

I owned a 98 Prelude for 2 years before buing my CLS. In a straight line, you have him by .5 seconds to 60 and you'll continue to pull on him. As for handling, unless there is a big difference in the skill of the drivers, he'll hand you your ass. In 1998, the Prelude SH was rated by Car and Driver as the best handling car under 30k. Having driven the base and the SH model, the difference is negligible.

To get decent handling you will need upgraded suspension but max performance tires alone will help tremendously. Just because tires are expensive I'm still on stocks but am just waiting for right time before tire/wheel upgrade. Don't even think road racing until these upgrades! My son's 91 Integra outhandles a stock
CL-S! Make sure the guys Lude isn't an SH and have mods or he
will surprise you! Goodluck!

Scooter,
Dude - go to an autocross!! Do it there! Just make sure you're both in the same class!!! Don't give in to the urge of pre-arranged street racing!
Seriously though - I seem to recall you going to one before - they're a blast and it's a good excuse to go back!
