forged steel cyclinder heads drop compression ratio's??

forged steel cyclinder heads drop compression ratio's??

Is this true? I read in SCC(sport compact car) this month about a guy changing the cyclinder heads with forged steel ones and that it dropped the compression ratio from 10:1 to 09:1. Is that possible???

Depends on design.... cylinder size....
