At the track this past Saturday in Byron, IL there was a Ford Lightening running low 13's!
I thought my runs of 14.50 were good until I saw that beast.

my buddy has a 89(i think) S-10 With a custom build 350 pushing 400 HP out of it. sometime over winter he's gonna pull that out and put in a built 454.it's wicked fast with a 350 it will be INSANE with a 454 he'll have to be up in 550 hp range atleast.

 

My dad let me drive my new cl before I had my license. Have fun man...I was a former 16 yeard old cl driver.

 

My friends Dad ran a 13.7 in his stock lightning . Hauls ass. Problems with wheel hop and traction though. Btw I think the interior looks nice... for a Ford. I like the seats.

pimp - How can you say that the kids and their parents are stupid for buying them fast and expensive cars when your folks bought you a new CL-S as your first car? I'm sorry, but that's no pinto. I'll be lucky if I save up to buy MYSELF an OLD 2.3 CL in a year an a half and I'm in university. I've been driving a 1987 with around 120 horses so far. On top of that I actually had the money and was going to pay for it, but my parents decided to (finally) cut me a break for once in my life and shelled out the 2 grand CAD for it. The nicest car any of my friends have is a 95 Prelude SR-V.
The others have: 92 Maxima, 99 Ford Windstar, 94 Corolla (base) and I think that WE are spoiled for getting cars from our parents AT ALL. Shit, me and the guy with the Prelude are the only ones with our OWN cars. The others have to borrow the maxima, windstar and corolla! And before you say that the guy w/ the prelude is in almost the same situation as you, I'd like to point out that he saved up and paid for half of it.
I know I'm coming off harsh here, but you can't say that other parents spoil their children when you have a luxury sports coupe in high school, b/c that's one of the worst cases of hypocrisy I have ever seen. I'm sorry, but as a person who has had to work for everything in his life, rich kids bug me, especially when they say someone else is spoiling their kids.

 

my buddy with the s-10 (with the 350 for now) once he drops on the 454 he said he's gonna run a z06 in a 1/4
