PIAA 19224, closest thing I've seen to the headlights. You can kind of tell from my avatar.

I heard that the Polarg (sp?) bulb might match even closer, but they usually burn out pretty quick

I first used the Polarg M6 bulbs. They kept burning out after a year, so I switched to PIAA 19224. The PIAA's seem to last longer.

Both bulbs are 18W super-whites. During my bulb switch over, I had Polarg in one side and PIAA in the other and couldn't tell the difference. They both match the HID's pretty well.

I had the PIAA 19224's in mine for a while. The blue coating on the bulb came off and looked like crap. I went back to the yellow look after that happened. Personally I didn't like the Hyper White look all that much.

You'll probably answer me with "of course you dumb ass", but I gotta ask. Did you happen to touch the bulb when you installed them?

I know skin oil will cause the bulb to burn hotter and shorten the lifespan. I wonder if it might cause the coating to come off?

After about 2 years, mine still look fine.
