Fog Light Wiring Harness
I Purchased A Piaa Set Up For My 03 Cl-s, Installed The Lights And Wanted To Use A Oem Switch To Match The Interior Of The Car. Bought A Honda Accord Switch And It Looks Like It Will Match Nicely, (acura Will Not Sell Parts Individually). Problem Is The Switch Has A Five Pin Connector On The Back Side. The Female Attachment To The Switch Is Part Of The Wiring Harness Itself And Is On Back Order With Out Any Arrival Date. I Need Someone To Hopefully Tell Me What Pin Does What.
There Are Three Copper Pins And Two Silver Pins. They Need To Illuminate The Switch When The Headlights Are On And Illuminate The Power On Light When The Fog Lights Are Turned On. I Am Sure One Of Them Is A Ground But It Is Difficult To Figure Out Which Pin Does What.
Does Anybody Have A Wiring Diagram For The Switch? Or Any Suggestion Of How To Figure It Out? I Do Have A Multimeter. Any Suggestions Would Be Appreciated.

Do a search. I did a write up on it. I have a PIAA kit with the TL switch. The pin outs can be found on the TL board somewhere. I no longer have those. You need to splice the 3 PIAA wires to the 5 pins. My switch works like factory expect it doesn't dim with the dimmer control.

Kayakmaster...what year accord fog light switch did you get? I was thinking about the same and ran into that problem with trying to buy just a switch from Acura.

The switch is from an 03 accord v6 ex, however my switch is black and I read some thread that somebody has perfectly matching switches. Being black it is not a perfect match so I will eat the $24 I paid for this one and I will try to get the exact match. It was suggested to me that I should search the tl forum for the wiring diagram I am looking for, can someone tell me why I can't search specifically, like I can on the cl post. When I originally wrote this thread I did it in all caps, why it came out the way it did, I don't know.

I just found my answer, check below on the simular threads link. access the wiring problems thread. Figdj maps it out pretty good. Now if I can find the tread that spoke of the perfect match for my interior I will be in good shape.

I used a 2003 Acura TL switch. I didn't have any problems ordering just the switch. I got it from www.acuraautomotiveparts.org
