So im driving home from a summerleague soccer game tonight and im on Rt70 in near Brick Hospital. I pulled up to a light and one of my friends was next to me. Hes only got a Mazda 626, and joking around I jump it off the line, somewhat. SO im cruising down Rt70 doing about 50 - 55 and im in the right lane ( speed limit is 50) In my mirror I see a car coming down the left lane pretty quick. I was only in D3. He comes on the left side of me pretty slow and im only doing around 55 still. He cruises past me so I said what the hell I guess he wants to go. I step on it and Vtec kickes in and im around 70 right now. I literally blew past him and went up to around 95 and I must have been around 3 cars in front of him. Then I had to shut it down since there was a light/traffic coming up. I assume it was just an LS. But all in all, im happy. I usually dont see a lot of tegs around or little ricers that want to go.

Good Race. Thats what I love about the CL.. alot of ppl have no idea what kinda car it is and assume they can beat you. Now if our cars werent so damn heavy...they'd be even faster.

but he wanted to race, its just one of those things cause he was a couple cars behind when i hit it at the light
i could see him flying up in my mirror
he had a girl in the car and tried impressing her, which he didnt
he didnt just "pass" me, and i didnt just "pass" him

 

my first kill in my cl was against a teg too...i didn't get cocky since i knew there were thousands in escambia county alone that could kill me

 

not too many around me, just civics, kia rios, and hyundais lol

A 3.0 shouldnt have too much problem with an LS Vtec unless it's boosted then you will get murdered. Your bro has an LS right?

 

yeah i kinda thought it was an LS so i knew i was good
yeah had an LS, but he just got rid of it for a new SI

my boy has a lc/vtec in a bubble back, he runs 13.2
he stretched the shyt out of my car lol

 

He must got lot of internal work done because when I had a my 2.2 stick I would only lose by 1 car to an LS/Vtec hatch

 

The Ls trim has Vtec? Isn't it the GS-R with the 170hp vtec engine?

 

^^its a frankenstein motor, its just the ls block with a tec head.they pull hard with minor work.

 

Oh ok, I had No idea. Can that be done to our engine, the 2.3/2.2 ?
