first problem with CL-S Help please

first problem with CL-S Help please

So i hit 105k about a week ago and though man its time for that service, so i went to my mechanic whom i trust very much and he changed the timing belt and water pump, after hef finished the job he tells me the check engine came up so i had to go to work so i took the car like that on my way to work i notice taht i cant shift past 4k its like the rev limiter but only at 4k. so i dont know what could be wrong. any insight???? thanks guys

Check the crank sensors

Low oil will prevent the car from hitting Vtec. Does it shake at all when this happens?

Could be alot of things, but the crank sensor makes sense, since the mechanic was in there...

Get autozone to scan the car and get the error codes, then you'll know exactly what the deal is..

Get the code number, post here, and someone w/ a Helms can tell you exactly what the error code is for.

There's a reason cars have OBD (on board diagnostics now)...

Sensor might not be bad... it might just need to be installed correctly... I don't know much about the camshaft/crankshaft sensors, but I'd assume that they need to be adjusted/calibrated when they are removed/replaced...

You can call the dealer for prices on parts (if the sensor is indeed bad), but you can get it cheaper from one of the online OEM parts places... We discussed all the online joints here:
