Stopped at a red light, a blue a4 pulls up and the kid revs a bit, light turned green and he took me on the launch but i caught right back up and FLEW past him, i was pretty surprised how bad i took him, i was about 3-4 cars ahead of him when he turned off.

the A6 4.2 can run 14.7 in the quarter.

beware of the S4's some of those can haul ass

Our Cl's will take a stock S4 eveytime a stock S4 is a 15 second car.
Add a few thousand dollars for some quick mods and you have a Cl smoker that S4 is doing 14.2
a heavy modded 6 speed Cl will have his hand full with a modded S4.

 

The audi s4 is a low 14s car stock. with a couple 1000 in mods it can run as low as 11-12's.

i dont know who or where you got that information from, maybe your talking about an older model S4 (early 90's ar that slow), but the 2001 AUDI S4 i've been in is a low 14s car and that im positive of or the friend of my brother has one hell of a freak factory motor.

 

Stock S4 6 speed best time was 13.9. Average is 14.1-14.4. THere have been high 14's and some even in the 15's.

S4 Tip stock runs 14.6 best and averages 14.7-14.8. The first 60' kills the Tiptronic, then it really moves out.

Stock A6 2.7T 6 speed runs 14.4 best, timeslip from englishtown. Averages 14.5-14.7.
Stock A6 2.7T Tip runs best of 14.9 , averages 15.0-15.1 in fact one ran at Pomona in 94 degree heat pump gas 15.1.
Stock A6 4.2 runs the same as the 2.7T A6 Tip. Except after 60 this car really moves. Its geared for the highway, not the quick runs.

yes that clears things up thanks. i seriously thought i was going crazy for a second because i know my brothers friend has an S4 and i knew it was fast, but goldtype was so sure they were 15s cars and thats not fast at all.

 

My friend has a 2.7T A6 tip and when we race I beat him from a stop even with his AWD, I know my car is faster in the1/4. However on the highway his car moves, when those biturbos spool up look out! I have headers and we run even from 60-110.

 

The tiptronics can only rev to ~2300, thats it, when using break torque. Makes for some pretty slow 60' times. The A6 Tip will be around 15.0 , so CL-S should be quicker to 60mph and the 1/4 mile. The A6 Tip weighs ~ 3850 without driver so its a big ol heavy car.
